Pros: Sensitive, Weather alerts, Good audio, easy to use.
Cons: Really none if you consider what it is made for.
This is a great scanner for the parts of the country that do not have trunking radios.
Weather alerts are a plus, it works well.
For the novice scanner user this basic scanner will work fine.
I have three of them and they are a very good radio.

Pros: there is no pro about this unit
Cons: over priced weather scanner
SAVE YOUR MONEY my wife purchased this scanner for me as a gift. this is a single band only will not pick up most police or fire department freq. Now that it has been opened Radio Shack will not take it back. what a way to do business.
