BEWARE! Denon warranty service is lousy!

by gbeast , Jan 06 '04
Pros: Equipment looks nice, lots of features.
Cons: Worst warranty, customer service in the industry. Purchase at your own risk.
This review is not about a piece of equipment... it is about the most important product/service a company can provide, service after the sale. My AVR 4802 lasted 1 year and 8 months (to the day) before the DSP Board died. It has been in warranty ...

Purchasing Pitfalls

by deejayman , Oct 13 '03
Pros: THX certification, flexible configuring, 125W per channel, and a two year warranty says it all!
Cons: Denon's User's Manual is unclear in parts.

Cons: heavy, pricey
I recently bought a Denon 4802 at Magnolia Hi-Fi. It has a proliferate number of inputs, including optical and component as well as the normal type. I use the Denon as the primary switching center for all of my AV and game equipment. Gamecube, PS2,...

Fine machine!!!

by atlashrugg , Nov 11 '01
Pros: THX, Dolby PL 2, sound clarity, decent price, power
Cons: Denon warranty policy, Aktis Remote, weight.
I was originally going to get the Denon flagship, the Denon AVR 5800. But I figured at over $3000, getting the extra power without the Dolby Pro Logic 2, and Denon not advertizing an upgrade of the 5800, the extra $1500 was not worth it, so I went with...
