Pros: Quiet operation, takes up little space, won't interfere with your decor, fingers can't get caught. Cons: Beeps when each button is pressed, which can wake others if done frequently.
I purchased my Tower Aloha Breeze Fan early this summer. We had a broken air conditioner and were managing well with a heavy duty air circulator which cost us quite a bit. Then, there was a particularly humid night, and with an 8 month-old baby tossing ...
Pros: Decent price. Small footprint. Remote control. Cons: Noisy. Height not adjustable.
We have 3 of these fans, one for each bedroom and one for the living room. We used them all summer. Allowed us to keep down the cost of air conditioning by setting the thermostat just a little higher in the summer. In the spring and fall it helps ...
Pros: Cheap. Inexpensive. Not overpowering. Relatively quiet.
Owner's manual is very funny. Cool little lights. Cons: No leis or hula dancers included. Limited oscillation on ours.
Recently a well-respected Epinioness wrote a glowing review of her legendary Vornado fan, expressing her satisfaction with this incredible wind maker and extolling its remarkable power. Placed behind a large sandbox, this mechanical Samson can be used to ...
Pros: quiet, gets the job done Cons: none as of yet
Weve noticed that a couple of our bedrooms just arent as cool as the rest of the house. The main reason is because we have no shade (yet) on the front of our home, so the sun beats down all day. Knowing that the ceiling outlets are not ...
Pros: good air circulation, easy to assemble, kids can;t get their fingers in Cons: high setting might not be enough of a blast for some
Contrary to popular belief, it does get hot in the mountains of New Hampshire. Although its not quite hot enough for me to require air conditioning in my bedroom at night, the recent heat-wave made me decide that yes, fans would help. The problem ...
Pros: Remote, the number of variations, and a timer. Cons: Hard to clean.
I bought my Aloha Breeze tower fan two years ago for an unairconditioned room in my apartment. I found the fan on sale for $25 at Wal-Mart, and bought it because it was very compact and had a variety of settings. Setting it up was quite simple. I had ...
This fan blows--and not in a good way by pupeluv ,Jul 26 '07
Pros: low price
okay initially Cons: didn't last
unusable now with the high pitched squeal
I got this fan for $25 at Target. At first I was very happy with it. I like the remote control, because living in Phoenix I usually start off the evening with a fan on a higher setting then wake up in the night to turn it down. I thought it was a pretty good deal.
About a month later, the fan all of a sudden started making a loud pitch squeal. I thought it was a fire alarm at first; the noise is that high, loud and annoying. All of the lights on the front started flashing, and it turned every feature on (oscillate, sleep mode, etc). The only way to turn it off and shut it up is to unplug it. I don't use the oscillate or sleep options, but I might still be able to find a use for the fan if it weren't for the squeal.
Either my fan is possessed or it was a complete waste of money. Either way, I don't recommend it.
I purchased an Aloha Breeze heater fan at Wal-Mart and had to return it right away because there was no remote. I exchanged it for another one. I've had the new one for one week and already it has quit working. It just blows out cold air! What a waste of time and money!
The spacesaving design of this tower fan provides for a lot of flexibility. It fits easily into or in between narrow spaces. It includes a convenient ...More at Target
