Pros: This drive is really fast! Cons: Noise, and maybe too fast.
Well, it was time for a new drive and I decided to go with a Lite On. My previous drive would not write eWorks discs at faster than 24x (Verbatim 48x), "ht

I picked up this 52x24x52 CD-RW drive last week, and have used it almost every day since then. I have been very pleased with the speed and quality at which it burns audio and data CDs.
In fact, it will burn a full CD (est. 650mb) in just under 3...
Pros: Fast, good amount of support, high quality Cons: Pretty loud, some error problems
I bought this drive about a year ago as a replacement for a 24x CD-RW drive that I had broken. It was packaged as a Cendyne drive. Cendyne does not make their own drives - they resell drives from other companies, such as Lite-On (of course!) The drive h ...
Pros: Works great. Love the 52X speed. Cons: Compatibility problems with other, and older computers with data disks.
I actually was sold this to work on my Mac. Not being able to find any Mac drivers, I decided to install it in my Dell PC. Good choice. I had a 24X Dell burner that never did work properly and constantly gave me buffer underrun errors. Now even my Roxio Easy CD v.5 works like a charm. No more errors. I can burn a 60 min audio CD in about 44 seconds. I am having problems with compatibility with other people's computers and data CDs, but over all it's working well for me.
The low price and the quality work it does makes this an outstanding buy. I have made around 3 dozen CD's so far with no re-writes or flaws in any of them. They were burned quickly and accurately, much much better than my old unit, which I still have in use. The quality seems very good, (to my senior citizen ears), but as my music is taken off 50 year old 45's I cannot properly address the quality issue. Lite-On seems very easy to use. I would recommend it to everyone, including my best friend.....
