Pros: Old-style RE is still a good time Cons: Story is pretty much useless...if you don't have a HDD, load times are atrocious
The Resident Evil franchise has fallen on hard times since the turn of the century. The latest victim of Capcoms tendency to milk a franchise until its no longer relevant (see Street Fighter), the RE series has lost its luster since the release ...
Pros: Nice DVD cover to attract people Cons: This is not a scary game. Instead it makes you angry.
Quick question: What does Capcom's Resident Evil series have in common with the stock market? Well, for starters, they both have their highs and lows, with Capcom's Resident Evil Outbreak being the stock market's equivalent to the 1929 crash. Having ...
Pros: You have different characters you can choose from. Cons: The characters, the graphics, the controls, the pace, the load time, and just about everything.
Up until now, I have loved every single game in the Resident Evil series, with exception of the two really bad first person games they came out with a few years ago, one of which was Resident Evil: Survivor. The typical Resident Evil ...
Pros: Multiplayer, Be an average citizen escaping Raccoon City, Good selection of characters, Unlockables Cons: Long load times, Too easy to die, Hard to communicate, Clumsy controls
For those of you who don't know, Resident Evil is a series of zombie games. There are a lot of them out, ranging from excellent to total crap. The latest, and in most people's opinion, best, is Resident Evil 4, which moved from zombies to faster, more ...
Pros: Different angle on gameplay, Smooth graphics, Resi fans will love it. Cons: Little hard for first timers, No net play like the second one.
I am a huge resident evil fan and own all but dead aim and survivor. These did'nt appeal to me really as love the puzzle aspect of these games.Firstly we will start with a run down of the previous capcom hits in this series HISTORY..... Resident ...
Pros: graphics, gameplay, sound, online play that is original Cons: loading times, lack of online players
I have seen the review for this game arn't as good as they should be. Maybe im just different than other people, but I think this was a really good idea for a game, and it came out very well. Graphics: My opinions on the graphics are mixed. At ...
Pros: hmmm not much to say about it Cons: same problems as the old Resident Evils
THE NIGHTMARE RETURNS Resident Evil finally comes back to PS2. Resident Evil (RE) Outbreak introduces a new idea of online gaming by having four players play online to survive a city full of zombies. There are five stages to play on and eight characters ...
Pros: Graphics and Good Ole RE Formula Cons: Everything Else
First, I'm a HUGE RE fan. I've played every single incarnation of the series and just had to buy this version (of course). I knew that every RE game has been pretty good so far, so I had full confidence that Capcom didn't fail in this venture. How wrong ...
Pros: Diversity of characters, guns, replay value. Cons: AI is a little clunky, monotonous voice acting
As Dave Chappelle said: I'm back b*tches. I know you missed me. Alright on to the game. Story: I've heard alot of complaints that the story sucks. Well, did you ever think of why? Things that make you go hmmmmm. The game takes place between RE's 1 ...
A good attempt at trying something different... by sonadow ,Jun 14 '05
Pros: Great Graphics
Online Play Cons: Strange Storyline
AI is lemming like
The game itself is set into a number of different Scenarios.
The scenarios themselves (In my opinion) just don't seem to fit. For example you could have just escaped a police station in one level, and then the next you're mysteriously in an underground science lab?
The game tried to stray away from a linear storyline by adding a beginning total of eight playable characters, each with there own advantages and disadvantages.
As you progress through the game you gain points and these points may be used to unlock 'Hard' mode and pictures and music and other playable characters.
Overall this game isn't a bad game, though it is 'bad' compared to the rest to the genre.
Pros: Play with your friends online
New characters
Points that buy you items Cons: No headset support and terriable communication
Same old levels
Brings the game into a online mode but not worth it because it can not support any type of headset causing it impossiable to communicate to your teamates
Excellent Online Co-Op Survival by bobtn ,Apr 28 '04
Pros: Excellent online co-op. Show your skills by earning costumes. Join me online! s/n=Creflo Cons: 1p game gets old after a while. Limited communication.
I have played to completion every Resident Evil title for PS and PS2. This game is the evolution of the genre. The controls are improved over previous games (you can use the old style controls or just push the stick where you want to go). The graphics are improved over previous titles, and the horror and suspense is there, too.
The 1p game is more than enough entertainment for a week-or-so rental, though some find the interaction with computer-controlled partners to be lacking. The online game is the real selling point. You and up to three other players from the internet will be surviving together in one of six in-depth levels. The added servers make getting online easy, provided you have a Sony Network Adapter and broadband internet service.
Practice up before you get on-line. When you've accomplished some extra tasks you can unlock numerous other costumes and players.
