Great Detector for the money
by mikethaman7 ,Jul 11 '05
Pros: Inexpensive unit, jams laser, good at detecting cops, offers a "no ticket guarantee." Cons: To me effective must leave in highway mode which can lead to annoying false alerts.
I've had pretty good luck using this detector/scrambler. I leave it in the highway mode at all times as this is it's most sensitive setting and is quite effective. I had a really good experience on the way to Dallas,TX from Houston at night when a cop used laser. Laser is hard to detect until you're right on top of the speed trap and this unit effectively jammed the cop's lidar unit. He pulled me over anyway to tell me I "must've been going about 85." I told him no way and he proceeded to give me a "verbal warning." which wouldn't have happened if he had locked me in. This unit has helped save me from radar/laser tickets all across Texas.
