Awesome alternative to digital music players

by ericwilliams , Mar 07 '05
Pros: Price, Quality, Software, Battery Life, Ease of Use (after a few days)
Cons: Construction? (jury is still out on this), Ease of Use (first few days)
WHY I BOUGHT THIS I am a runner and listen to music while I run. I travel often on business and take a headset with me for the plane, airport, etc. I want to have a lot of music on one disc so I don't have to carry a lot of CD's. I have tried the Sony ...

Don't recommend it

by smoke11 , Jan 07 '05
Pros: I wouldn't recommend this unit.
Cons: Solid plastic grip is poorly designed.
Maybe I just bought a bad unit, but from the onset this player made intermittent clicking noises while playing a CD. It's not something I would hear over the headphones or when using outdoors. But if I hooked this unit up to a set of portable speakers ...

Takes a little getting used to.
by bevincosmos ,Aug 29 '04
Pros: weight, sound, non-skip
Cons: controls, comfort, headphones
When I first transitioned from the previous model to this one, it took a little getting used to. I run daily with my walkman and the things that I felt uncomfortable about with this model were the comfort of carrying it, the comfort of the controls, the headphones, and the view of the screen. I feel that the last model was a bit more user friendly.
I do like the lighter weight of this newer model.
