This review will tell you why a man like me with around 600 CD's loves this Walkman format. WHY I WENT HI-MD I am a big-time runner and weight lifter so I need a portable, durable, erasable, shock resistant music machine. I have had the Archos ...
Pros: jog dial, compact design, Hi-MD Cons: battery life, no backlit
I dreamed of owning a MD player ever since grade 8, now four years later I finally got one and I have to honestly say I love it. It's too bad that MD player technology is only popular in Japan and we are stuck with iPods images in North America. ...
Pros: attractive. somewhat compact. Cons: no back-lit screen, kind of expensive, made of plastic-feels cheap
This little device is the greatest. For the past week I have been searching the internet for some type of music device to store all the CD's I own and some that I will soon own. I needed something I could take everywhere. At first I thought MP3 ...
Pros: High quality sound, ease of use, size and wieght. Cons: No backlight, no AC option, transferring can be time consuming
I was in the market for a hi-cap personal music player during the summer of '04. Of course the IPods were high on my short list, along with Dells, Creatives, etc... All fine systems but didn't want to spend over $200 buxs. I never gave MiniDisk players a ...
Pros: Excellent battery life, sound quality excellent, small compact deign with G-shock protection. Cons: SonicStage, cannot convert ATRAC to MP3 or wav, Sony music store only sells ATRAC songs.

Like MZ-NE410, this an entry level MD device by moebius ,Dec 13 '04
Pros: Best battery life of HiMD players, 1gb discs Cons: Too thick, no mp3 capability, no HiMD discs availible
Like other sony minidisc players, great battery life, reasonably tough, better sound than my old MZ-NE410. A good entry-level HiMD player. But again, with the Sony audio products, why does it not do native mp3 playback?
The Sonic stage software blows. But other than those two drawbacks, it is a fantastic product. I look forward to someone hacking one of these devices and getting them to play Mp3s. I'm not sure I'll buy another MD product, unless it includes native Mp3 playing.
The USB drive cabablilities of the HiMD players are a nice addition though.
