Pros: DVD/VCR Combo. Easy Menu. Works Good. Cons: Cannot record from DVD to VHS. Unusual noises during play.
I received my Samsung DVD-V3650 DVD/VCR combo for a Christmas gift in 2003. Overall, I enjoy it very much and would recommend it. The best thing about this electronic is that it combines a traditional VCR with a more technologically advanced ...

Pros: Features, value for money, style and good looks Cons: Remote Control
I have used my player for almost two months now. I have been totally satisfied with the player and dvd player itself. I have recorded as well as thoroughly played the heck out of this machine since Christmas. The only issues I have with it is the ...

Pros: Easy setup, great TV, DVD, VCR playback. Cons: Remote control functions not like previous unit, have to read the manual.
My VCR failed. I looked for a DVD/VCR combo and the Samsung V-3500 price caught my eye at bestbuy.com (closeout pricing). After I purchased it, bestbuy cancelled the order and gave me a 10% off next purchase coupon. They had the V-3650 available for $40 ...

1 Year and Out
by fortyfour ,Jan 17 '05
Pros: Good for DVD watching. Cons: VHS tape play noisy and now has vertical roll; unable to enjoy VHS recordings.
Had it 13 months and all during that time it was noisy when recording or watching VHS tapes. This month it started a vertical roll when viewing VHS tapes. Tried tape after tape , but intermittent vertical roll stayed. TV ok, wife's VCR works fine; I'm going for another brand.

DVD Deteriorated from Day 1
by arvkum ,Jan 13 '05
Pros: VCR/DVD combo Cons: Product began breaking from day 1
I bought this because I wanted a compact DVD/VCR combo and thought Samsung was a good make.
When we began using the DVD player, we noticed the picture would become still at times. This became progressively worse. I then realized by testing some of the DVD's in another DVD player after putting them in the Samsung that the unit was PERMANENTLY DAMAGING the DVDs!
Unfortunately, by the time I realized what was happening, I had lost 8-10 DVD's. Since I had misplaced my receipt (my fault), Samsung refused to help.

What a disappointment!
by wendellbarrus ,Nov 15 '04
Pros: Sleek and Stylish with ok features Cons: It quit working after one year
I thought it was a pretty good dvd player until it quit working right after the warranty had expired. Maybe I got a lemon. I don't know. Well...it was my first dvd player and I learned a valuable lesson. Read epinions from people who own and operate the products before you buy! I have practiced this for the past three months and have had great success in my recent purchases. I learned from epinions that it might be best to buy the standard dvd player, rather than the combo dvd/vcr package. So...I have decided to get the Sony DVPNS575P/S based on epinions, price and features.

A good choice
by sugarsiorai ,Apr 07 '04
Pros: Looks great, very slim (3"), was hooked up in less than 5 minutes Cons: Took a while to train the universal remote to use this unit
We shopped around and finally bought this unit. It's nice looking and easy to hook up. It's also easy to operate, which is a big plus, because we were tired of explaining to babysitters how to play a movie for our 2yr old.
