Pros: Easy to use! Suitable for novice and pro alike! Hi quality audio and video! Price! Cons: Not STEREO. Awkward "Zoom" control. Sony's "Info-Lithium system" is better. Sluggish focus. A/V Mini.

Pros: mic jack Cons: lack of manual white balance, sub par image in low light situations
This is a nice camcorder. I'd say it's best feature is that it has a mic jack so that you can hook up an external mic. The internal mic isn't too bad considering the price. However, in the case you are interested in film making, it's a common rule ...

Samsung SC-L906 Hi-8 Analog Camcorder. My first impressions

Pros: Well within my price range and easy to use. Cons: Battery life may just be a little bit of an irratation.
Just bought my first camcorder and being a complete novice in video camera's I decided to buy something fairly easy to use first time.
Within 10 mins of opening the box I was up and running. This camera is very user friendly and though it may not have the spec of some of the newer digital camcorders the results were very good. I am now looking forward to getting into the advanced mode that Samsung have put into this camcorder.
