Pros: Quick warm-up, Print quality, Speed, cost & memory best in class, ~$0.02/page printing cost. Cons: No available High Yield Cartridge, No Duplex Printing,Manual feed feels flimsy
I have a Lexmark T420d, but when my father's home business required a Laser printer, I supplied him this Samsung unit. I chose this printer because of the current Manufacturer's rebate that brought this printer $60 down in price. Out of ...
Pros: Low cost of entry Cons: High recurring cost, terrible support, low reliability, very low print quality
This is, hands down, the single worst printer I've ever experienced in over 10 years in the IT industry. Here's just a few of the reasons why:</p> ->Overheats ->Paper feed jams *constantly* ->No duplex, manual or ...
Pros: Price, built-in memory, network adapter, did I mention price? Cons: Noise, lack of documentation, not the best build quality (but still good).
I have only been using this printer for less than a week, so I cannot comment on the long term performance of this printer. However, my initial impressions is that this printer represents one of the best values out there. This printer is based on the ...
Pros: Speed, price, operating costs Cons: No LCD display
This is the first laser printer that I have purchased. I bought it because I had a very special project that works only with laser toner on thick stock (if you want to know, it was for toner transfer PCB making). There are a lot of cheap laser printers ...
Pros: It's been very reliable with good quality Cons: No rear exit for printing envelopes?
We have a medical office. When we were starting out and building the office this was our primary printer at the house as we set up the company. When we opened the office the only reason I got to have it was this wasn't the network version. Like I said ...
Pros: Easy to print second side. Low cost per page. Cons: Noisy. Paper starts to curl from heat after 20 or so pages.
Bought this in June for $165. It is noisy until it goes into hibernation mode, then it is quiet. So every time you print, the noise kicks in and then after a few minutes, it will stop. It's easy to power it off and it warms up quickly, so I tend to just ...
Promises a lot, delivers little by caesarr ,Jul 03 '05
Pros: Nothing Cons: Bad printing, unreliable
I've had the printer for a month and it has been nothing but trouble!! Lots of paper jams, poor quality printing, streaks, light areas. Maybe someting is wrong with the toner cartdrige? I don't know. Customer support was not a help.
Pros: Fast, clean pages Cons: Cartridges too expensive
Printer works great but wait till you find out how much replacement cartridges will cost you. The cartridges do not last very long even with light page coverage. Ours lasted 2.5 months. Then you'll pay at least $100 to replace it. We estimate cartridges will cost us $480 yearly. No wonder the printer was so reasonably priced.
Excellent Entry Level Laser by danhinz ,Nov 02 '06
Pros: Fast Printing, Inexpensive!, when in full idle is silent Cons: No display to tell you why the red error light is flashing.
The printer does an all around great job. It replaced a 12 year old HP Laser printer. Straight through paper path is usable. I don't care for the center aligned style, but it works. Once warmed up it is very fast.
The straight through paper path works for heavy card stock and envelopes. Toner save mode is easily controllable in the software within windows.
Cheap price and cheap quality by faucherp ,Sep 11 '06
Pros: Print quality, networked device, price Cons: quality and Samsung customer support
Purchased the ML-2251N based on features without research which included a 12 month manufacturer's warranty.
It is a little in the noisy side. Being a networked printer I was able to easily place it in another room.
14 months later the fuser roller melted into an oval blob.
The cost of service and replacement is more than purchasing a new printer. Samsung would do nothing to help.
If you are considering this printer, make sure to purchase an extended warranty.
Flimsy construction and cheap parts.
I am shopping for a replacement printer. This time I will pay a little more and get a lot more product quality.
