Pros: Has a lot of recording space for recording lots of your favorite programs.
Cons: Menus and sometimes remote response is extremely slow and remote button placement is poorly designed.

Pros: Optical audio out, S-video out, easy to use.
Cons: Can be slow. Might delete programs quietly if user doesn't keep on top of it.

Pros: great picture dolby digital sound
Cons: Could use more capacity
Summary: I got mine installed by Directv for $99.00. When it was installed it had the 3.1 tivo software and the guide menu was infuriatingly slow. However after being plugged in for 2 days it received the 6.2 software upgrade and everything is much better now.
