Pros: Flat Screen, cheap, S-Video Input, Front and Rear AV inputs, Parental Control Cons: No digital filters, so-so volume
With the flood of massive screened projection TVs in stores today, I believe it is now safe to say that a 20 TV belongs to the second TV category. If you need a spare TV for your kids room or your bedroom, this TV may fit your needs. For $129 in ...
Pros: Good picture quality;no buzzing. Cons: Large back
I bought this Television after having a horrible experience with an Emerson EWF2004. I returned the Emerson set after I noticed it buzzed loudly. You had to turn the volume up quite loud to drown it out. This buzzing often occurs in Flat/LCD screen ...
Pros: Sleek design, front AV inputs. Cons: None worth mentioning.
I purchased this TV on a whim. My husband and I were shopping at WalMart and we usually stroll through the electronics department to see what's new. This TV immediately caught our eye. The picture was obviously clearer than the other models on ...
Pros: good picture,
cheap price
Cons: no audio output cables,
no headphone jacks,
sound sometimes gets interfered,
cheap remote
I bought this TV about a year ago and at first I was very pleased with it. I thought for only a 125$ it was a great TV. But I soon found some minor flaws with it. One is that it dosent have the proper input cables to connect speakers to and it doesnt ...
Pros: Lightweight, Nice overall look. Cons: Picture was terrible. No Digital Comb Filter. Remote was a little small for me.
I bought this at Wal-Mart and took it back 4 days later. I have a two receiver Directv system and I made the mistake of buying this t.v. for my bedroom. After hooking everything up and checking all of my connections I turned the t.v. on. I had my ...
Pros: Great picture, longevity, and an easy to use menu. Cons: Sound is okay, and v/a connections in front lose it after time.
Very satisfied with the buy. For being less than $130, this 20" flat screen was perfect for me, being a college student. Owned for over three years now, and the only problem I've had so far is the video/audio inputs on the front of the unit. After a year or two, they had become very sensitive (guessing the connections are getting loose). Sound is okay, but absolutely no bass to it.
We bought this TV at Walmart 2 years ago primarily because Sanyo was rated #1 for reliability.
It performed well until the picture vanished and we could smell something burning.
If it had failed after 5 years or been abused, we would not feel so bad.
We talked to the Sanyo Support Supervisor and he told us that because it was out of warranty, they would not repair it.
So much for the #1 reliability rating.
This is a poor quality product and we would not recommend it.
This TV, sold only at Walmart, is a great buy if you need a small inexpensive TV. I soon discovered, however, that you have to turn off the automatic picture settings and manually adjust the tint and brightness. The picture is far too bright and you have to adjust the tint almost all the way to the "green" side. In addition, I had to turn the "surround" sound, which sounded awful, off. Once I made these adjustments both picture and sound were excellent. The sound is a lot better than the Panasonic tv it replaced. Sanyo TV's according to a "frequency of repair" survey I saw in Consumer Reports are the best brand in this category. For the money you can't beat it (We got it for 10% off since my daughter, at the time was working part time at Walmart) which made the price $116. You will need to be careful with it during moving since the silver paint comes off easily.
Pros: Good Video Quality
SVIDEO Inputs
Low Cost Cons: Average Audio
No Component Inputs
I primarily use this television for gaming and multimedia. The TV comes equipped with SVIDEO and Composite inputs. Setup was real easy and straightforward; out of the box it automatically detected available cable channels and was setup for top configuration. While the TV lacks Component inputs and some advanced options unlike more expensive televisions, many standard users wont notice much of a difference.
Audio is lacking as far as configuration options go and its average at best. While not much of a problem for simple TV viewing, users looking for high quality multimedia sound may be better using another audio solution.
Video is very crisp and clean and for the price you can't go wrong. The TV offers three video configuration options - normal, gaming, and manual. I find gaming to look best for everything without manually specifying setting.
Overall I recommend this TV. While the lack of Component inputs may disappoint some the noticeable difference between SVIDEO and Component on analog are very minimal
Pros: Great picture.
Low price.
Attractive styling for the aluminum cabinet(looks very chic). Cons: Sound quality only adequate.
No clock/date feature.
I didn't have much cash when my 15-yr old Signature finally bit the dust(Montgomery Wards brand & I think they were made by Zenith). I shopped around and found the best price on a smaller, flat screen TV from WalMart. I read good things about this model, on this site, and thought at $129.00 I could just manage it, for now, and it is a flat screen(new for me). The picture is great.
I am delighted to say that everything nice said about this set is true BUT the sound is a problem. It bothers me a lot when playing videos, some of the them don't have great sound. The level only goes to about medium, compared to other TV's. I do believe this really was meant to be no more than a second TV, so if you're in the market for a great picture, low price and and don't mind only medium sound level, this is it!
