Absolutely No Customer Service by benqreview ,Sep 06 '05
Pros: Cheap, reasonable quality scans for ~$35. Cons: No customer service, poor software integration.
The scan quality is acceptable, considering that I only paid $35.
The software is a kludgy and inconvenient, but about what I would expect for ~$35.
The unit arrived with a slight milky film (from condensation in shipping?) and some large dust-like particles on the inner side of the glass. I sent 4 emails (1 per week) to their technical support about the best way to clean it. I never received a response. I sent an email to their sales and then to a general support address about the issue. I never received a response. I called the support telephone number - after 50 minutes of waiting to talk to someone, I had to leave. In other words, there is absolutely no customer support. All in all, I guess I should've spent another $25 and gotten the Visioneer I was looking at.
