  • Hey Bartender, Where's My 7&7?

Feb 2, 2008 by Bryan_Carey is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Restaurants & Gourmet
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: An ingredient in 7&7; Inexpensive
    Cons: Harsh taste drunk straight

Summary: Whiskey ranks among my favorite types of liquors and I have been known to tip back a few mixed drinks made with my favorite whiskies when the mood strikes and the liquor cabinet can accommodate. I have my favorites, and most of them are distilled in ... read more

Pros: Price, Mellow, 7&7 still a classic
Cons: Can thwart off non-whiskey drinkers, be sure to drink your water

Summary: Seagram's has been around for a long time, and 7 be there standard whiskey for a little less than standard price. I think when choosing a liquor, the following things must be addressed: taste/finish, mixing/shooting, drunk, and value. So here we go... ... read more

  • Seagrams Satisfying Seven

    Jan 16, 2002 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Good Price. Great Traditional Whiskey Flavor.
Cons: The finish is "a little sweet"

Summary: A classic American Blended Whiskey. The price is excellent, and unless you are getting cheated, or buying your liquor at a grocery store you WILL NOT pay over 12 bucks for this drink. I recently became infactuated with the "seven and seven" it is a ... read more

  • Great deal on a great whisky

    Jul 13, 2000 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Price, taste, availability
Cons: image of being a cheap whisky

Summary: Whenever I went to a liquor and had a hankering for a whisky that night, my eyes would see Seagram's 7, but would then continue on, unabated in their puruit of my favorite top-shelf whisky, Crown Royal. You see, although I am not exactly rich, I fancy ... read more

  • One of my original sins

    May 17, 2000 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Smooth, delicious and relatively cheap
    Cons: Only for whiskey drinkers

Summary: I have a deep, unconditional love for Seagram's 7. Aside from cheap, plastic-wrapped cigars and late-night Skinemax, this dark whiskey is my original sin. I've drunk it from pint bottles, fifths and 1.75-liter jugs. I've drunk it with Coke, 7-Up and sour ... read more

  • Tough stuff

    Apr 24, 2000 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
    Pros: Good for mixing
Cons: Not good for doing shots

Summary: Seagram's Seven is the perfect drink for mixing with colas. In my opinions (epinion), it is best with Diet Coke, because it is not a very sweet whiskey. Seven is NOT made for drinking shots. One fun thing to do with Seven is stick it in the ... read more

  • All hail the 7 Crowns!

Pros: Inexpensive, great flavor (mixed or straight), gets you drunk of course!
Cons: Cheap looking bottle/label, if you don't LOVE whiskey, the flavor might be intimidating for you.

Summary: By far the best bang for the buck if you are into drinking whiskey. Although not as aromatic and dignified as it Scotch and Bourbon brethren, one has to have respect for Seagram's 7 Crown. The taste is smooth, mellow, and well balanced with not much of ... read more
