Pros: Crisp text and vivid graphics. Cons: Nothing.
I replaced my 19-inch, flat screen monitors with Sharp LL-T19D1 units and what a difference. The text is crisp and readable and the graphics are vivid colors. No more eye strain.
Installation consisted of plugging in the cable. Since I was already using 1280 x 1024 resolution with the CRTs, there were no Windows Control Panel setting changes needed. I only modified one setting on the monitor to enhance the blue color slightly - a personal preference.
I based my buying decision on an article in PC World magazine wherein they rated Dell's monitor a notch higher, but I chose the sharp because the design is more attractive. Sharp's price also dropped to match Dell's.
Pros: Clear, sharp image. Great design. Starts up instantly from power down mode. Cons: None that I can think of....
I have just replaced my old NEC 17" with this 19" flat screen. Boy what a difference. The initial set up and auto adjustments using the included cd were very easy. The results are well worth the price. I have even purchased an option which allows me to use it as a TV monitor as well which produces a very clear sharp flat screen image. So I was able to replace my old monitor and TV as well. Very good warranty too. I had space limitations and this monitor allowed me to move up to a larger screen whereas I was limited with the conventional type.
