Pros: Price, light weight, decent software bundle, extremely simple to use. Cons: No LCD viewer, questionable image quality.
The SiPix SytleCam Blink II Digital Camera is one of the lowest priced cameras on the market and certainly one of the smallest and lightest. I bought this camera for my wife, who is a complete technophobe, for $39.95 at Fry's the other day and hope the...

Pros: small, cool, cheap Cons: fuzzy pictures, photos disappear
I was delighted when I got the camera. It was easy to use and the size made it very cool. The pictures were a bit fuzzy but not bad for $30.
But I took the camera on two day trips and on both trips I lost photos. I took a dozen or so pictures...

Don't bother
by emilyflew ,May 11 '04
Pros: Good picture quality, small and light, easy to use. Cons: Terrible battery life, no way to lock buttons, deletes pictures with no notice.
I was looking for a simple, cheap digital camera to take snapshots with, and this seemed to fit the bill. At first, I loved it--so light and small and easy to take with you, and surprisingly good picture quality in outside light (don't even try pictures inside). However, I soon discovered that it eats up at least one (non-rechargeable) battery a day, and when it gets low on battery power, it warns you by immediatly deleting all of your pictures. That's not good.
Save your money until you can buy a real camera.

Avoid this camera at all cost!
by socal_sinner ,Oct 21 '03
Pros: None. Cons: Poor construction, no flash, poor battery life.
Picked one of these up on my honeymoon in Venice, Italy and was disappointed from day one. The battery cover, and indeed the whole camera, is very cheap plastic. Consequently, the battery does not seat firmly and the battery loses contact when in the off mode. Without any removable memory, this means all of your photos are lost unless you have already downloaded them. Camera operates on one AAA, and battery life is really, really poor. I have returned and replaced this camera directly from the manufacturer three times, and now I have a camera that appears to work, but the software interface is so poorly designed it will not recognize the camera and I cannot download any photos. None of the online support helps, nor can SiPix technical support offer a solution. This camera also lacks a flash, so in more than half of indoor pics it simply beeps at you to indicate light levels are too low to take a picture. Very, very disappointed with what I expected would be a fun and very small little camera I could take anywhere in the world in a shirt pocket. Buyer beware.
