Pros: Easy to use Cons: Has stopped working every now and then
First off, wow! This remote control is a Godsend in a day and age where the typical television set-up includes a VCR, DVD, DVR, receiver, satellite/cable, and what ever other concoctions those amazing engineers think up.
Pros: Large LCD Display, easy to read. Easy to program Cons: Can't get the sleep function to run a macro.
I picked one of these up on ebay for $40.00. It does just about everything you would want. It will even switch device inputs on your receiver so one button will not only get you to the screen for that device but also switch your receiver to that input....
Horrible disappointing non-ergonomic disaster by orbitmaster ,Jul 13 '04
Pros: None Cons: Price..Incomplete codes..Poor ergonomic design..Has trouble learning codes..No support forum on simacorp.com
In the never ending search for the perfect universal remote I plunked down the bucks for the Sima Sur-25 Universal Learning Remote.. Out of the box..Batteries in..Scan the manual..Learn the Directivo codes.. Nope! Ok lets run the Mitsubishi TV..Nope! Ok lets try the standard codes.. Mitsubishi TV some functions worked (not the input button..there is not even a button resembling that here).. Tivo nothing. Lets check the Sima website for updated codes or software.. Once again NOPE! My RCA RCU-810 $10.00 learning remote blows this piece away..I am a very tech fella..This is a very bad remote. I suppose if you use it all of the time your muscle memory may allow you to find the functions on the touch screen but I doubt it. Stick with 100% rubber button remotes and don't be fooled by a fancy touch screen.
