Automatic Shut off
by camera2 ,Jan 01 '05
Pros: Small, easy to use... Cons: Shut off, stick control is vague and not terribly accurate in forwarding and skipping tracks
I owned mine acouple of months after getting it at a major discount at Best Buys --$30. I thought how bad could it be for that price. My assessment is it has limited sound quality and control. It has pre-sets for Rock, Classical, etc but they actually do very little.
The one word if caution --you seriously need to use the lock buttion given the stick navigation device. Second, mine does shut-off, most times for no apparent reasons. The kid at the store says "yeah, they do that" ...the manager says "never heard of the problem". Advice, keep the receipt and packaging for the first couple of weeks.
PS. limited volume and bass

Neat little number
by bbannist ,Apr 25 '04
Pros: Tiny size. Good battery life. Easy transfer. Great sound! Easy to navigate software. Cons: No armband or lanyard. USB hub required. Unit a bit fat for easy USB application.
Pluses: Tiny size. Stores 2 hours of mp3s or 4 hours of WMAs ... more than enough for a long jog or a good workout. Good battery life. Easy transfer. Great sound! Problems: It doesn't come with an armband or lanyard. (I bought a mini camera case that does the job just fine.) You need a USB hub or you'll have to plug it in the back of your computer to load your music into the unit. (I have a couple of USB slots on my keyboard, so I'm OK.) Also, the unit is a bit fat, so you may have to unplug one or two applications before you can plug in the Fuse for music transfer.
