Pros: Sound Quality, Powerful, Looks cool, Durable. Cons: Doesn't play MP3 CD's, Needs adapter for AUX-in/Ipod.
I have had my Sony CDX-CA810 CD receiver/deck for 2 years and I've been very happy with it. I actually bought it refurbished on eBay for around $100. I use it with a Sony Xplode 760Watt Amp and two 12" Kicker Subwoofers. I think the most impressive ...
Pros: great face design, easy to use controls, can you say powerful!, looks great installed Cons: no mp3 readability, infared remote, hard to use the menu options while driving
I own a 98' chevy Blazer and this unit looks great installed. This unit compliments the entire dash ...
Pros: Full Motion display and various colors Cons: How do you remove the faceplate? Help......:(
I just recently purchased a new/used car that has the CDX-CA810X in it already. I haven't figured out all of the possibilites of tweaking it to my likeing, no manual with it, so it might be a while figuring it out. So far I can san this, it sounds great, I like the full motion display, and all the colors.

Excellent quallity for the price
display color can be change Cons: No MP3 playback, but can be easaly fixed with a FM modulator
Basicly what the title said(I love it!!! & I thought sony was suppost to suck fo car audio! this proves the myth wrong to me anyway!), deck is awesome for the price, love the look & after getting use to the operations & controls I can experement with setups Deffenetly recomend this deck!!!
Pros: Effecient way to put a good sounding receiver in your ride for the best price. Cons: Very basic - almost too basic.
I have had this receiver for a long time now, I had it since it was new. It works great with no flaws. It also has many great ways to adjust sound levels such as the seven band EQ and loudness control.
I'll have to admit that I've never really heard *this* receiver, but I HAVE experience with the features. I've used Sony's EQ7, and the results are awesome. You can pretty much *tune* the sound to your likings and possibly beyond. I've also *played* with my friend's Sony CDX-L510x, which is a cheaper version of the ca810x (with eq3 and non-changeable color), and the interface is just great. No knobs to turn and it's pretty straight-forward in ease. Another thing which impressed me was the sub-controls, usually this is reserved for more expensive decks. The price is nice, you can find this deck for as cheap as 140.00 online. I plan to order this deck in the very near future. i HAD to give it a 4 in overall rating b/c i've never really used *this* deck, but, I have exp. with a VERY similar product. the only thing that dissapointed me was the colors of the background, basically just one color (two if you consider black) But I plan on ordering it and then i'll post another review
