Sony Handycam DCR-IP1 Micro MV Camcorder

Pros: small size
Cons: everything else is a con

you cannot use any other software video editing tool.. proritery software. the picture and audio quality from that software editor is lousy.
Pictures/video at night is very bad. you buy a camera light you need seperate battery and battery charger. ( you need a seperate charger for the battery that goes to the camera)
FireWire port only works with sony software , proprietary implementation.
micromv tapes are expensive. since you cannot edit them and copy onto dvd's with good quality becasue of the software problems to edit, you are stuck having to save the content on the tapes and ply them thru the camera and keep on buying more tapes.. defeats the whole flexibility of having digital content that can be moved and edited across the board.
All in all I feel like a "S****r" for buying this camera.
