Pros: Excellent, accurate sound that beats component CD and DVD players. Nice display, MP3's a bonus.
Cons: A beep that sounds every time you push a buton.

Pros: I'm sure it's quite rugged and reliable, but I only got it this afternoon.
Cons: Excessive motor noise, no line out, evil beeps, wimpy output.
Summary: Disappointed. Like so much Sony gear, it's physically noisy, making even stranger whirring noises than my minidisc player. It beeps. At least you can turn the beep off - but will it stay off when I change the batteries? Why would anyone want these beeps? ... read more

Pros: great looks, amazing display, best sound quality, undying battery, SIMPLY SONY.
Cons: software sucks,interface is irritating, long time to create mp3 c.d.
Summary: There is a contradiction that I found in one of the previous reviews that I wanted to correct. This player comes with a hold button at the back, which if engaged prevents accidental pressing of buttons. Sound Quality was of utmost importance to me
