Pros: compact, easy to learn, affordable, 4.1 megapixels, extra memory stick included Cons: none!
I had been carrying around my old archaic point and shoot for quite some time now and was tired of it being too heavy to carry around in my purse all the time ( i love taking my camera places to capture the moments of my life) SOO I decided that I was ...
The SOny Cybershot DSC P41 is a budget camera for only about 189-200 dollars which is pretty darn cheap for a digital camera. The camera has only 3 times digital zoom and absolutely no optical zoom so therefore the zoom is not that great. The camera has ...
Pros: Extremely short battery life Cons: Easy of handling, size, style, easy to navigate menus; awesome picture clarity and quality!
I rec'd this model P41 for a Christmas present. Definitely impressed with the style, size, weight and the quality (color and clarity) of the pictures is unbeatable! All of the menus are very easy to navigate through and the manual is online, so it is ...
Pros: Compact, Easy to carry, easy to use. Cons: The setup for the download of the pictures was discouraging.
I purchased my (camie) (cyber-shot dsc-P41) for my husband for Christmas about 2 years ago. Naturally, because it's a sleek small silver camera that can fit in your small purses, ladies. He kinda bulked it with my small dog. Out of his room and off his ...
Pros: Takes great movies Cons: Battery life, only takes clear pictures after adjusting lots of settings.
I decided to upgrade my old sony camera (DSC-U10)...I was just taking so many pictures with it that I needed something better (it was only 1.3mp). Since I had good luck with my old sony, I went with the Cyber-Shot P41 since a friend of mine had just ...
Pros: excellent close-up shots, decent videos with great sound, easy to use and affordable. Cons: the farther the range , the less the quality. zoom is no good
I have had the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P41 4.1 Megapixel camera for over two years now. It is the only digital camera I've ever owned. I bought it because it was reasonably priced for the quality I was looking for. The camera is very user simple and user ...
Pros: compact, speedy, excellent picture quality Cons: silly 16 mb memory stick that comes with it, no alkaline batteries
I bought this camera because it was very reasonably priced and very well reviewed on Amazon.com. I've only had it for two weeks now, but it seems to be a priceless investment. Let's lay out the bad first: Do not use alkaline batteries with this ...
Pros: Style, function, features, compact design Cons: No optical zoom, horrible battery life
I bought this camera, thinking with the Sony name it would be good. All the features and functions of this camera live up to that name. However, with the batteries included, the camera only lasted about 20 minutes before dying. Even with Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, the uptime is about 20 minutes with a down time of 3 hours for charging. Save yourself the headache and get another camera with built in Lithium Ion batteries.
Pros: VERY easy to use Cons: portability, battery life, picture quality
This camera is okay if you want to buy one for your 8 year old niece! I mean it's easy to use, but the quality isn't that great. The battery life sucks horribly and the body style is too bulky to fit in my pocket! I've had mine for about a little over a year and the I've noticed in some setting the pictures can come out blurred or with some yellow glow effects when I'm keeping perfectly still and there is no direct sunlight in the lens. Hmmm. I don't know. To me if I was going to spend my money on a camera, I wouldn't buy this one again! Next time around I know better! Next time I'm going to stick with a company or brand that is known for their cameras, like Nikon or Canon!
Sony P41 Great little camera by rzk357 ,Jan 06 '05
Pros: Great images, almost no chromatic abberation anytime, clear and sharp! Cons: I paid too little for such a great camera? :)
Bought this little jewel to fill in while I searched for a bigger, better one. I have owned four digital cameras and this one took me by surprise with it's stunning picture quality, sturdy build, excellent ease of use, it's good mix of features, adequate flash, and yes, the little sounds it makes when I turn it on. Easy to use, but has only digital zoom, which I NEVER use. Basically I have a fixed-lens, but what a super lens) camera, which is fine with me. The four MP ccd is sharp enough that I can crop 25 or 30% and yu cannot tell it!! For the money, it;s the best buy in town! Sorry, but I really have no downside to talk about. Oh yes, it uses AA batteries, just two, so buy four NIMH and a charger. It doesn't get any better than this.
Great Compact Camera with big capabilities by skisaxx ,May 17 '05
Pros: Small, Fast, Simple to use Cons: You will need to get a bigger memory card for it.
This is a great little digi cam with great resolution. It has all the standard features plus auto filters and full color menu. This camera is replacing a Fuji FinePix. When compared, the Sony is a lot better on batteries.
The cons of this camera is that the memory stick that is included will only hold about 12 pictures. The Sony 128MB stick that I got with mine will hold around 75 images.
The best part about this camera is that it is ready to go as soon as it's turned on! You will not miss Steven Tyler with little machine.
great camera, even better deal!!! by istech ,Dec 01 '04
Pros: 4MP great features, Sony brand, well built no cheap parts, good design,USB smart zoom, fast Cons: only 16MB you need least 256 no Optical zoom, need rechargeable batteries.
This camera is great at 4MP is the cheapest of all the ones out there. Feels great in your hands, not very heavy, which makes it easy to hold steady. Menu buttons are in the right place, easy access to all the features, very easy to understand and navigate, fast start-up, got it for $158 at niceelectronics.com every where I went was at least $179.99. paid $12 shipping.
Could use more memory (only 16MB ) but even if you buy 256MB still cheap get memory from Sandisk, Sony is a little bit to pricey in memory, I got it in Circuit city for $54. (256MB Pro Dou, super fast to transfer your pic's to your computer) I did 3 months research is this camera, I already have a Kodak 1MP 3 years old, and I spent more that what I paid for my new camera!! technology is getting cheaper, go buy it!!!. No optical zoom, that's ok I got photoshop, I can crop my picture and enhanced it if I want a close up :)
A fine camera for the price by ixamxnot ,Oct 26 '05
Pros: Good camera for the price with quality pictures. Cons: Short battery life and a bogus excuse for not honoring their warranty promise
The camera is easy to use and produces beautiful pictures as claimed. Compact and very durable for people on the move. But,Sony requires the serial number sticker still be on the camera to honor its warranty.Mine broke after 10 months and the sticker has fallen off due to normal use. SONY REFUSES TO HONOR!! How lame.
Very dissapointed in this camera. (sarcastic_cutie@hotmail.com) by sarcasticcutie ,Sep 18 '05
Pros: None. Cons: Everything.
At first when i got this camera on dec 26 2004 i thoguht it was great i loved it but less then a year later the screen went blank and i had to get it repaired. EVEN AFTER teh repair the screen was still causing problems with black and grey scrambles preventing me to see what i was taking a picture of and not being able to basicly view ANYTHING. this is only 6 months after ive had it. I recently contacted the head offices and asked for a new camera and said i was a very dissapointed customer. They called back and email back saying they would look into the matter. A week later still no response. I dont know what to do...I emailed back askign if I should bring it back to get it fixed ONCE AGAIN and I have gotten no reply. I now will never buy a sony product again.
They have had similar problems in teh past with otehr customers from which i heard from other retailers. They have a default in the viewing screen so if your screen stops working or breaks...dont say you havent been warned by reading this post.
Great Camera, Great Pictures, Great Price by martinjungle ,May 19 '05
Pros: Great picture quality, nice price, small size. Cons: none.
I chose this camera because it is small and easy to carry around. It was reasonably priced which was nice. I am impressed with the wonderful picture quality. I take lots of pictures with it for the class yearbook and have been told my pictures turn out better than many of the other ones turned in that were taken with bigger and more expensive cameras. It only comes with a small memory stick but larger capacity ones are cheap on EBAY. Mine came with rechargeable batteries although I had to purchase a charger for them. You can also use it to take videos. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my camera!
