DVP-NC665P looks good in a usual Sony fashion. Its front panel says precision twice: Precision Cinema Progressive and Precision Drive 2. ...
Pros: Great product and value - Reads every type of disc imaginable. Cons: None that I can think of.
The 665 is a great product, and highly recommended. I needed to upgrade since my previous (approximately 2 year-old) single-disc Sony decided to stop playing DVDs mid-way through, and wouldn't play any of my video CD's burned with the software ...
Pros: Features, Coaxial and optical digital outs, great clear play, change while playing feature Cons: Only one CON- NO ZOOM!
Well this is a top end DVD player. It has many features including Digital optical and Digital Coaxial cable output. So you can choose which one you want to use. Check to see if your receiver is capable of utilizing these features. Digital Coax and ...
Pros: Great Quality, Very Easy to Use Cons: For only a little bit more, you can get the dual DVD/VCR combo
I recently started doing research into DVD players, so I could pick the perfect DVD player for my Father’s birthday. I looked at speed, durability, quality, ease of use and of course, cost. After doing diligent research online and at stores, I decided ...
Pros: Great outputs, dv/dav, great price, a real value for the price Cons: No zoom. not a big deal.
My reviews are based on the feelings of past consumers who I have come into contact with regarding their systems. Being in the electronics industry, I am hopefully able to give you an accurate picture of the overall consumer feeling on the products I ...
Pros: Good sound and picture. Reads a lot of different formats. Cons: Features hidden within on-screen menus. Poor reliability.
This was a nice player. I got it when my Panasonic DVD changer broke a few years ago. It performed well for me. I was able to read a lot of different disks including CD-R/W and DVD+R/W disks. But there were a few things I did not enjoy about it. If ...
Pros: OK DVD player Cons: No CD player shuffle function
I had a Panasonic 1 disc DVD and an older 5 disc Sony CD player that didn't recognize newer CD-RW discs. I also wanted to reduce clutter in my stereo/tv cabinet by consolidating two components into one, so I picked up this unit in early 2004 at Circuit ...
Sony Five Disc DVD/CD/CD-RW Player by hugofsu21 ,Oct 23 '03
Pros: Love it. Stylish. Has every feature. Cons: I have not had any problems with this DVD player
I purchased this DVD player about 2 1/2 years ago now and I still haven't found one in the market that I like better. Has tons of features. Dynamic Mode, BNR settings, and plays burned Cd's. Haven't had any problems with it very easy to use. I also like the subtitle and different language featues.
Quality Built~ Plays & Sounds like Big Bucks Unit...RARE Find! by a69datsun ,Mar 12 '05
Pros: Great Quality all around Cons: No SACD... Poof, Big Deal(Spend your money on good speakers instead of SACD or HDCD)
I have had many Carousel & single DVD/CD Units and this is the Tops. The price is right and if you can find a good unit under $150... JUMP! The picture is impeccable. The way it plays CDz just runs over my Old Yammy & I thought it was great. I have had it 6 months and I just smile at how reliable the sound & picture always turns out. I have a few scratches on disc and it just rolls through them easily. This is the Blue Collar Mans CD/DVD Combo at Tuxedo Performance. Without boring you with Tech, it's Butter & Honey.
Quick changer, but pauses half way through movies. by allende5 ,Jan 30 '04
Pros: Excellent Features & Picture Quality Cons: Pause half way through movie (layer change)
I replaced my previous Onkyo 5 Disc DVD changer simply because it was extremely slow at changing discs and did not read my DVD-R meida. This Sony is very quick at changing discs, reads almost every media and does everything else that you would expect. However, I'm only writing this review for the one con this player has. There is a short, but very noticeable pause that occurs half way through every movie. One of the other reviewers referred to this as a "Pause at layer change". The pause is usually a fraction to 1 full second. I'm not referring to burned DVD-R media, but actual commercial DVD movie media. This should not occur on a $179 DVD player, especially when there are so many good players out there for under $100. I would have returned it, however I only use the player 2-3 times a month and hadn't noticed the pattern until it was too late. I give this player only 3 stars and a "Do not recommend" standing because of this glitch. Perhaps this is only a bug in my player and other reviewers can say otherwise.
Pros: Plays many DVD /- R and R/W. Optical and Coaxial outputs. Simple to use remote. Cons: Pause at layer change.
So far plays all my DVD /- R and R/W. Remote is plain but simple to use. A little noisy on the disc exchange. Progressive scan is real nice. Only complaint is the pause between layers is longer than my previous Panasonic Player. Does anyone make a player that shuffles MP3 music?
