Pros: Great picture and sound!
Takes 1080i signals to perfection! Cons: $3600 when they first came out. Get a 1080p set for about half now.
Summary: Bought in summer of '05. Have not had to replace the bulb yet. Both wife and I work, so it gets used for evenings mostly and weekends. Excellent picture still. Figured out it is in between 720P and 1080i. I was discouraged to find out later it was ...

Pros: Good Picture for a projection Cons: Horrible connection options, expensive for what you get.
Summary: So I bought this thing thinking I was going to get not only a TV but something of a stereo receiver as well. I was very wrong. I have to say that for a Sony this TV is a loser especially with the $4K price tag. In all fairness the picture is ...

Pros: Good color, sound quality, built-in HD tuner, number of inputs, elegant styling. Cons: Bad pixelation (screen-door-effect), bulb needs replaced periodically, expensive.
Summary: I had previously purchased the KDF-55WF655, and decided to upgrade to this 60" XS model, mostly because of the extra HDMI input and the better speaker system. The first thing I noticed was with fast moving scenes, the picture would pixelate very bad ...

Pros: Clarity, sharpness, good viewing angle. Cons: would like speakers to be detachable.
Summary: I have been looking for over a year for a wide-screen TV. I wanted at least a 56", and didn't care what the technology was, as long as the picture was crisp, bright, and could be seen from just about any angle. The Sony Grand Wega 60XS955 meet all ...

Pros: Unbelievable picture. The preponderance of connections on the rear panel. The built-in ATSC/NTSC tuner. Cons: The 132W bulb for illumination is a concern so I added the 4-year protection plan.
Summary: My KDF-60XS955 was manufactured (in the USA!) in November, 2004 for use at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January, 2005. Subsequently it was sent to (a local Las Vegas) Worst Buy as a "floor model" (open-box). I purchased it 16 Jan ...

Pros: Clean picture. Beautiful styling. Great price. Cons: Better designed remote.
Summary: UPDATE (1/20/2012): (Wow, how time flies. I've had this TV for about 8 years now and it still works great. I've only replaced the bulb once. But perhaps I'm just lucky. I recently read that there was a class action ...

Pros: Can't think of any considering the price Cons: At $3500 plus $700 for the stand, it cost me about $1400 a year
Summary: Bought this TV new in Jan 2005 - worked great for 3 years - then had to have lamps replaced in Sept of 2008. Now in June of 2009, having all kinds of problems - half the screen is yellow and a creeping blue triangle on the right side - found

Pros: picture is crisp...cable card slot, two hdmi slots, digital toslink output. Cons: picture in picture can't both be in HD. Who ever uses PIP?
Summary: I have owned 3 HDTVs: Samsung 4663W DLP, Sony XBR500 and the Sony 60XS955. This TV has the best picture of the three. It's not as good as the R60XBR1, but the cost of this set versus the other is worth the slight difference. Watching the US Open on
