Pros: Nice 27-Inch TV, Good 27-Inch TV Cons: Questa Mucho Dinero
If you have to have the fanciest, and the most expensive, of anything, the Sony KV-27FV16, which sits proudly atop the 27-inch sets in Sony's new line of Wega (pronounced Vega) TV's, might be just the thing for you. With a street price around $800, the...
Pros: No problems out of box, Great Sound and 16:9 aspect, nuff said! Cons: weight
I wouldn't call myself a "Videophile", but I like quality. Maybe Sony released some buggy Wegas the first round but the 2000 models are fantastic. The speaker placement is ideal, with 2-15watt speakers and a whole menu of audio options. I...
Pros: looks good in the store Cons: just not in my house
Of all the affordable tvs best buy and circuit city had in stock the wega certainly stood out from the competition. The picture looked much more well defined the rest. The big clunky remote was the only thing i didn't care for.
Pros: Great picture, Great Features, Great looks, Easy to use, Easy to hook up....... Cons: High Price
In being limited to a 27inch TV because of space consideration in my apartment I was initially weary of the task of actually finding one that I would be happy with. Yet, after coming across this great model from Sony all my feelings were changed. Sure...
Pros: Flatscreen, Amazing Sound, Many features, Great for multiple accesories like VCRs, Game Consoles, etc. Cons: It is heavy, so it is hard to transport.
There are so many amazing features and qualities of this TV! I Definitely think it is an great buy. See what you can get out of this TV...
The first spectacular reason that this flatscreen television is so great, is that it has amazing sound...
Pros: It is a Sony for those who have to have one Cons: everything!
I am in the market for a 27" TV and have been researching several makes and models. I want top of the line home theater quality in a 27" with out going digital or HD. This is a near impossible task. one of the sets I chose to bring home and...
Pros: Very clear picture, colors are very nice Cons: Very heavy, expensive, poor remote layout
I bought this TV to replace my junk Funai TV. I must of read 4 dozen reviews, of all kinds of TV's. I've been to the stores, and every time I went there the one thing that always caught my eye was this TV. Of course sticker shock always sent me packing....
Pros: The flat screen, appearance, and number of inputs Cons: Price
This tv was purchased to replace my 13" Admiral tv. (For those who don't know, Admiral was Montgomery Ward's house brand tv...eww!) Anyhow, this tv is something special...27" of silver flat-glass goodness. This tv nearly bankrupted me, but I really...
Pros: Speakers are outstanding, 16:9 mode is heavenly. Cons: This TV needs to go on a diet. Slight ghosting image.
UPDATED INFO: The rest of this review is intact, I just thought I'd mention that "ghosting" is noticeable on the screen. Ghosting happens when a white image moving across a black background leaves a whitish "ghost trail". Move your mouse really fast...
I had a 9 year old 19" JVC. It was a decent, basic, television. When I decided to upgrade, I immediately thought of getting another JVC. I had heard about the Sony Wega sets, but thought they were just plain too expensive. Also, I did some research and...
Pros: Picture quality, ease of use Cons: Weight, price
For the Sony Wega, many people believe that it's just another Sony product in shiny packaging that doesn't pull it's weight. I would disagree with them.
I was in the market for a new TV, and I knew I wanted a 27" screen. From the start I was...
Pros: Potentially good TV. Cons: High failure rate. (0/2 in my case)
I would like to start off by saying I like Sony as a brand. Sony products show cutting edge technology, with great designs and user interface most of the time. With that said, I would like to share my bad experience with 3 of the KV-27FV16 TVs I had....
This TV is very nice. I've had mine for about 6 years, and it's still great. This is indeed a nice television, great sound and picture quality. The remote is great, and the buttons are very comfortable. However, even a great TV has drawbacks. After these...
Pros: Great Picture, Manual 16:9, Solid remote Cons: A little heavy
I bought this television about six months ago after I saw my friends 36". I didn't have enough money for the one he had so I settled on this. I had just bought a Sony PS2 and boy these two work great together.
Pros: This is a solid tv for watching...
Pros: Nice looking picture, if still a little flushed of color Cons: Loud startup and shutdown. Blows up after a couple years.
Wow. Well after 3 years (one year unused in a climate controlled storage unit) my KV27fv16 decided to call it quits. The screen shrunk up to the top of the screen for a few seconds, then disappeared and the unit shut down.
The Sony repair man simply said that "that doesn't sound good" and "some electronics don't last very long". Great responses.
I bought a Sony trinitron because my parents had one that lasted 20 years until I gave it away after college 5 years ago.
