Pros: picture quality, no-glare screen, picture-in-picture, sharp images Cons: the weight can be a problem
Growing up, television was something I loved spending time with. Indeed, it was part of my life, and I had many shows that I liked to watch. The end result though, was that shows would conflict with each other, and I would have to pick and choose. I ...

Pros: Great factory picture setup, EDTV (1080i High-Scan), Awesome anamorphic 16:9 DVD picture. Cons: HEAVY, TV speakers don't do justice to the TV's awesome picture.
PROS: If you are looking for a TV with a lot connections (5 video functions!), features, and picture quality, this one is for you. To start, the factory preset picture is great and requires very little color tuning (pushes a tad red on warm setting, but ...

Awesome TV....lots of features....however not HDTV
by nightdreamer ,Mar 24 '05
Pros: Good picture, relatively cheap, tons of inputs, nice looking tv. Cons: Heavy, sound lacks bass, PIP useless, wary of durability of sony products.
I bought this set used from a person moving overseas and hence got an awesome deal on it. Took myself and a friend 3 hrs to move it down 2 flights of stairs, into a hatchback (barely), 45 min ride, and then up a flight of stairs into my apt. Needless to say, the flat screen and the crt tube of this unit makes this set extremely heavy.
However, once the unit was plugged in the tv's picture was a thing to behold. I had owned a panasonic before and this sony's picture brilliance blew the panasonic out of the water. Cable television and DVDs are crisp and vivid. The 16:9 feature, for DVD playback, while producing the best picture ive seen on a non HD signal, in my opinion is rather small and useless even on a 32 inch tv. And contrary to what someone else wrote here about this set being HDTV ready, this set is NOT HD ready. One last thing, this set is quite pleasant to the eye and makes a nice decorative addition along with my Sony Dream System.

Great TV! Some of Sony's best work!
by bandy1080 ,Feb 20 '04
Pros: Awesome picture quality, HDTV ready, 4 video inputs! Cons: HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY! TV speakers aren't that great
I bought this tv last summer. I had looked at the flat panel technology and 3000 dollars was just way too much to spend on a tv. Then I saw the Sony Wega 32 inch flat screen. The picture quality on this tv is unbelievable and destroys all other tvs in its price range. I also use it for HD tv through comcast. The tv is HDTV ready with a special hookup in the back that I didn't even know existed! It is amazing watching HD football on this thing. Be sure to try to get an extended warranty since this thing has a screen that can very easily be damaged.
