Pros: High-def-ready, excellent sound quality.
Cons: Will be replaced by a new model shortly.
The XBR400 TV's are the top sets in Sony's direct-view (standard-tube) lineup. These two sets, the 36XBR400 and the 32XBR400, are both high-def-capable and differ only in screen size. List prices are $2,200 for the 32-inch model, $2,700 for the 36-inch...

Pros: Outstanding picture quality. Provides great flexibility.
Cons: None. Even the price seemed fair to me.
This newest Sony XBR just hit the street and I was lucky enough to get one of the first available units. It has all of the features of the 400 plus an enhanced DRC circuit. Progressive Scan (line-doubling) becomes line-Quad with both vertical and...

Pros: Big, Great Picture, Flat Screen (for viewing angles and no glare)
Cons: Very Heavy, It's great picture goes to waste if you dont use DVDs or have an HDTV signal.
New to the market in August, 2000. This TV was hailed as being one of the best TVs in the world. I'm not sure if this is true at all, because I have seen some pretty fantastic TVs that cost upwards $8,000.

The Sony Wega XBR400 on the other...
