Great Starting Recorder!
by pinktracker ,Dec 14 '03
Pros: Simple, different speeds for disk copy, optical AND analog in/out Cons: MAKEDISK only in real time (copy & finalize in one step)
This is a wonderful CD recorder for anyone just getting into making their own CD's! I was making CD's within 10 minutes of opening the box. Instructions are relatively simple, considering the amount of features built in. Many features that are usually found on higher priced models now included on this one, including fade in/fade out, analog-digital-analog, sampling rate, SBM, auto/manual track numbering, text titleing for disks.

The Sony RCD-W10 CD recorder/burner...
by richie_dt3000 ,Mar 07 '03
The Sony RCD-W10 CD recorder/burner has been
flawless so far. I have a Sony 5 disc CD changer
and have made some excellent mixes of all my
other CD's that I own. Just a couple of buttons
and you're on your way to an outstanding copy
of the original CD. Sony puts out an excellent
recorder for the money. I would highly recommend
it to anyone who is looking for a CD burner for
their home stereo system.

Analog input recording produces mixed...
by garyl_dt3000 ,Mar 26 '03
Analog input recording produces mixed results. The recording plays back fine on the record deck but at times, tracks are distorted even at med-low levels or don't play at all on it's own playback deck, as if it wasn't fully CD-R compatible. Compatibility: Either CD-R recordings are not compatible on a lot of CD players (because of different laser reflectivity) or there is a problem with this recorder. Some recordings play on my Car deck and some don't. My daughter produces CDs on her computer that play fine on my car deck however. Commercial CD copying is mostly fine, but problems occured with Memorex CD-Rs. TDK work better for all recordings. I am using "Music" CD-Rs.
