Creative Technology Inspire™ 6600 6 Speakers

Pros: Great bass and high ranges, can go really loud.
Cons: Low bass distorts, a weak mid-range response.

Knowing that these are considered a little high end, they are worth the money. The bass response is good, but distortion starts to occur at 37 Hz, and not the 35 Creative says. They can achieve very loud sound levels, but at full volume they have about a 10% THD. The upmix feature is very handy for those of us that have a 5.1 soundcard, and not a 6.1. The sound from all speakers is crisp and clear at normal volume levels. The built in bass boost is a very nice feature, but sometimes overloads the woofer. Like most computer speakers, the midrange is not really present.
