Pros: Good sound quality for a low price. Cons: Not for the sound enthusiast.
Yes I am, and if you are buying a new computer from Dell, I hope this review will save you a chunk of change (up to $60 to be exact). You see, the Harman/Kardon HK 19.5 speakers are one of the options for speakers that come with Dell computers. Note...
Pros: they have good design and clarity Cons: they don't pump out enough bass for people who love loud sound
these speakers are pretty good, i am not sure of how many watts they produce. each unit has a green light on it and the right speaker has a tone control and a volume control. the the speakers are slightly tilted back so that they are aimed at the ears. i...
Pros: None that I can really say Cons: Bad sound, few controls, larger than other speakers of the same poor sound quality
This speaker is the replacement of a previous model, which also shared the same model number. But that's about all that is common between the two models.
The previous model had much better clarity, depth and bass, and also had separate bass...
Pros: Sounds pretty good especially for small speakers, highs mids and lows represented Cons: Sound gets lost in a larger room
Honestly, ones satisfaction with these small PC speakers depends on the users needs and expectations. I received them three years ago as part of a cheap (and it was cheap then) Dell home PC package. Since then I have lived in four different places and h ...
Pros: Great Volume Range, durable Cons: Don't work well with headphones, out of proportion.
Seemingly, these Harman/Kardon HK 19.5 speakers are good. However, as it turns out, they only maintain their form for basic use. I usually use headphones, to keep from disturbing the other members of my family. What i've found is that with headphones,...
Pros: AWESOME sound!, Solid Structure!, Great Bass!, Best Sound Speakers! Cons: Not Digital
When I purchased these speakers from TigerDirect.com for $15, I thought they would have an average sound quality(or worse) and would not have good bass. I was totally WRONG, these speakers have so much bass and pump out 12 WATTS, which is great for it's...
I just picked up a set of the HK 19.5's, and all I have to say is that the sound quality is crisp and true. I hear a lot of people whining that there are no indivual bass and treble controls...leave the tone knob on it's middle setting and tweak the EQ on your media player!
For a cheap set of PC speakers (I use them on a notebook), they provide crispness without being tinny and enough bass to make the low end audible, if not torso-thumping.
I do love the sleek appearance of the black/grey model.
In all, the complaints about the sound quality remind me of Formula drivers complaining about the drag coefficient on a Yugo. These speakers excel at their simple purpose, which is to provide above average (by PC satellite standards) sound to your desktop. They do not compete with my Bose home stereo speakers, but they aren't designed to. Plus, the Bose set costs upwards of $1000, and I got the HK's on ebay for...ten bucks.
