Pros: Retro look. Quality fit-and-finish. Includes stainless steel mixing bowls. Cons: No flexibility with bowl rotation feature. Stiff-working buttons. Man... is this thing LOUD!!!
In my opinion, the best room in the house is the kitchen. My baseline culinary activity begins with twice-a-week bread baking duties, with a cake or pie thrown-in as an occasional tasty treat. The winter months are especially kitchen-oriented due to ...
Pros: Reasonably constructed, good power, easy to use and carry, affordable. Very attractive. Cons: The design of the bowl and rotating mechanism may seem flimsy to some users.
The Sunbeam Heritage is an inexpensive metal stand mixer that uses dual beaters, similar to those on a hand mixer. The unit has two motors: One to rotate the beaters, and the other for rotating the bowl. The bowl rotates the opposite direction of the ...
Pros: Price Cons: The motor could not handle much. not easy to change out beaters
I was sooo excited to get a stand mixer from my husband for Christmas. I had always wanted one and finally i had one! I read all the directions on using it and even thought some of the recipes that came in the booklet were good. I decided to make a yummy ...
Pros: roomy bowl for big batches of dough, easy to clean, affordable, and is darn cute. Cons: Release button for the beaters is a bit difficult to push, especially with arthritis
I bought the Sunbeam 450 watt Heritage mixer recently and have been very pleased with it. I previously owned a Hamilton Beach, vintage 1968, that finally wore out and this replaces it. This Sunbeam works even better than my original mixer and is darn ...
Pros: Heavyduty motor, easily understandable, comes with 3 types of beaters & two bowls. Cons: Heavy. Like others mentioned the tilt button can be difficult.
I received this mixer as a wedding shower present in June of 2007 after having registered for it at Macy's. When I did my registry I knew I wanted this mixer in particular because I wanted a mixer that I would be able to walk away from while it beat or ...
Pros: Very heavy duty; space to add ingredients while mixing, rotating bowl; shifting bowl stand. Cons: Can't rotate bowl backwards, tilt release sometimes hard to work.
I learned to cook on a true vintage Sunbeam Mix Master - my mother's model from the 1950's. I grew up with it and when I got my first job in the early 1970's I bought my own stainless Mix Master. It was my first purchase for my "hope chest". That Mix ...
Pros: Nice feature set. Flexible to use. Not overly expensive Cons: Tilt Release poorly designed. Overall poorly manufactured.
I bought this mixer for my wife for Christmas this year (less than 3 months ago). She asked for a mixer and was quite taken with the look of this one. She simply asked that we not spend a fortune on a Kitchen Aid model for now. The mixer is made of ...
Pros: Mixes very well on a small scale and saves time Cons: Bowl too small, slings mix out everywhere and limits recipes you can use
I was given this mixer as an anniversary gift. The mixer dose a very good job of mixing, the speeds are very versatile (you can choose the exact speed you want) and fairly easy to clean. Unless you are mixing a very small cookie, cake or bread ...
Pros: Serves it's function well. Cons: Too powerful, and noisy.
I purchased the Sunbeam Heritage 2349 Stand Mixer about two years ago at a discount store for a little more than $80. I'd always wanted a stand mixer, but wasn't about to shell out a few hundred dollars on a Kitchen Aid, especially since I'd never used a ...
Pros: Overall design Cons: Tilt mechanism is unwieldy and undependable
I was ecstatic to find the Heritage design. It is almost identical to the one my mum-in-law received as a wedding gift in 1939, and which has been in use since then, although the stand was misplaced during a move in 1996. The ancient machine is extremely ...
Pros: easy to carry and use, inexpensive Cons: tilt feature, loudness, features
This is a great beginner's stand mixer because it has all basic settings and Sunbeam is a trusted name in the world of cooking and baking. I got this after graduating from college to start a baking career but I decided to upgrade this year because it ...
Pros: attractive
easy to use
performs well Cons: hard to release beaters
I bought a Sunbeam because I loved the retro look and I also loved the price - only $130 for 450 watts which was more wattage than the comparable KitchenAid at a much better price. The mixer does a good job for cookies, cakes, muffins, or dough for ...
Pros: Styling, color & customer service is good Cons: This is a mixer with issues, as stated in the body of my review
I'd like to say I'm a HUGE fan of the old Sunbeam Mixmasters and I had one for years. Now THATS a great mixer! I got this red Heritage mixer two years ago for Christmas, and I use it for making bread only. Too cumbersome to pull out for a cake mix, ...
Pros: stylish, fast, durable, easy to clean. easy to use Cons: heavy, buttons hard to push, head hard to raise up
This standing mixer was a Christmas gift to be two years ago. I haven't used it for heavy duty baking and it is still in good condition. I liked the many settings though they don't seem to be adequately named. If a recipe says to "cream" something and I ...

Pros: Attractive Cons: Very noisy, defective; those with arthritis or a weak grip will hate the tilt-release.
We received this as a gift about 18 months ago.
We loved the look and feel of it, and the speed-control dial.
(By the way, those with arthritis or other hand-strength problems will NOT appreciate the force required to push the tilt-release button)
But I thought it was unusually loud, and occasionally smelled that "burning wires" smell.
Boy do I wish I had taken it for repair ASAP!
It seemed to work fine, except for the noise and occasional faint "overheating" odor until two months ago when it died in the middle of mashed potatoes, with wisps of smoke coming out of the motor housing.
Customer service simply wants me to take it in for service... they do not respond to repeated inquiries regarding its original manufacturing flaws.
