Sunfire True Sub JUNIOR

by hyvonen , Jan 06 '02
Pros: Minimal size
Cons: Could reproduce lower bass better, relatively expensive
Notice, that (since there is no review for it) this is a review for Sunfire True Subwoofer Junior! I dare to say, though, that some of the things I say probably hold for larger Sunfire subs. But keep in mind that I haven't heard the 'big brothers'....

The Little Subwoofer that is Big on Performance!

by surferdude7 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10, Feb 16 '01
Pros: The best subwoofer I have ever heard!
Cons: The manual lacks details on different hookups.
The Sunfire True Subwoofer Mark II is an eleven-inch cube (11 inches wide by 11 inches deep by 11 inches in height.) and is powered by a 2700-watt amplifier with two 8" drivers, one on each side. This subwoofer may not be big but it weighs a hefty 48...

The Sunfire True Sub MK II is an incredible auditory experience.

by hollis256 , Jan 26 '06
Pros: Sold, musically accurate base. Thunderous movie sound. Small size.
Cons: None.
MY EXPERIENCE: The Sunfire True Sub MK II is an incredible auditory experience. I feed all of our sound sources (DVD, TV, VCR, camcorder, and tape deck) through the 6.1 channel system, and the base sound is an awesome experience. Movies (DVD and to ...

I have had this unit...
by badabbing_dt3000 ,Sep 20 '02
I have had this unit for about 18 months and all I can say is, you owe it to yourself to at least have a listen because nothing I say will do this piece of equipment justice. You can spend more, but you will not get more. The only thing I have noticed is that it tends to be a bit slow, of you would expect that from a sub that delivers frequency down to 18hz. Believe it or not it makes the whole experince of listenng to music and home theater that much more real, I still crawl up to it from time to time like some kid with a brand new toy and touch in utter amazement, it is still hard believe that this little 11x11 cube is capable of such SPL. Unbelievable, I'm working on a Cinema Grand II next. My system is as follows - Onkyo TXDS787, Toshiba SD5700 DVD, HP DE100c Digital Entertainment Center, JBL HP88f Mains, JBL S Center, JBL HTI8 (3) rears, AudioQuest CV-6 Main Speaker cables, Monster MK400II interconnects.

Sunfire Subwoofer
by felixdavid ,Jan 01 '05
Pros: I miss the quality bass it gave to my music.
Cons: Hum, more hum and repairs to a unit seldom used. I am angry and disappointed.
I bought the subwoofer after having to sell my Martin guitar to afford this $2000 cdn subwoofer in 1998. I was very careful in the handling of it and NEVER abused it in anyway. I played it seldom as I worked night shift. It hummed a lot and after trying every thing I could, I was told it needed repairs to the driver and amplifier. That was 3 months ago and it still has problems and is in a authorized repair shop still. If I could talk to Bob Carver I would ask him to pay for the repairs or give me my money back. I will never buy another product from this company as I had faith in this product and it has not been a good experience financially.
