I've had this toaster oven for about a year now. It does a great job toasting and broiling. I also love how sturdy the rack is. It never flops forward when I pull it forward to take something out of the oven.

What it is not good at is baking. It takes forever to cook a chicken breast or pork chop. Since I often cook dinner for just myself, I like to use my toaster oven instead of turning on my big stove.

I would not purchase this item again as it doesn't fit my needs. But if you're just looking to toast, it's fantastic.

Pros: solid, accurate, attractive, designed to last
Cons: I can't play foreign movies on it.

I have had this toaster for a few years now and I love it.  The controls are accurate and made to last.  Heating is relatively well distributed in it.  I have even grown to like the curved top warmer for keeping the oven tray in, because you can't store anything on top of a flat toaster oven anyway.  Good job tefal!

I bought the T-Fal Avante Elite toaster oven for the features and the cost. I liked the way you could set the temp & time. I liked the feature of the above warmer however, it took no time before it got stained and looked ugly through the top of the glass. The coating in the warmer did not hold up. This was a great toaster oven in the beginning. I only used it several times a week. Which I thought was light use for 4 months. Half way through cooking it just stops. None of the controls work. It appears that the electronics just quit. I could not return it to the store. The 1 yr warranty stated I had to pay for return shipment and the labor cost. Not worth the cost and will not buy another T-Fal product.
