Pros: A great Tanqueray product Cons: None
Let The Vodka-Tasting Resume…
My best friend Vinnie and I have had a competitive tradition for almost four years now. We trade vodkas, trying to both top each other and to find the perfect vodka; it's an endeavor halfway between a...

Pros: Decent For Mixing Cons: can't ask for it by brand name alone
Early in my ten year bar tending career I had an interesting situation come up that I've shared countless times with other experienced bar tenders. The time period on the hooch calendar was around the time all the flavored vodkas were coming out...

Pros: Smooth, no backbite(aftertaste), blends wonderfully with anything Cons: Sometimes hard to find in stock
This is my preferred brand. I've drunk many different brands, beginning with Smirnoff, and ranging from Stolichnaya to Absolut. I've dallied with SKYY, which isn't bad, but I always come back to Tanqueray Sterling.
Tanqueray Sterling is...

Pros: clean, smooth taste; classy image Cons: the cost, although it is actually the same as all the other vodkas in its league, such as Absolut
Tanqueray has been my vodka of choice for home purchase for a few years now. I had enough sense to learn early that even if your mouth couldn't tell the difference between lower and higher quality vodkas, your body figured it out the next day. A lesser...

Pros: good taste Cons: not very cheap
If you like a good vodka then this is definitely the drink for you. This spirit has a very full taste, without the rubbing alcohol flavor. It's also very potent. This is really good stuff if you like to drink it straight, but if you like to mix you vodka...

We love this vodka!
by caseylewis77 ,Jun 03 '06
Pros: Pleasant citrus smell, no aftertaste, a lot like drinking water, great chilled by itself. Cons: NONE
I don't know what about this vodka makes it so appealing, perhaps it's the lack of aftertaste or the subtle hint of citrus, but we are committed fans. It has a pleasant smooth quality about it that I could only find drinking others like Grey Goose, etc. We bought it on accident one time and have been fans ever since. We ask for it in bars, but unfortunately the general public has not caught on yet. I'm glad to see others have an affinity for it as well!
We ran out of mixers towards the end of an evening once, and started drinking it chilled with lemon, by itself. Surprisingly, it goes great by itself and you certainly can't say that about all vodkas! Also, as far as hangovers go, I have never had one from drinking it that I can remember.

Highball Thursday Society

Pros: SUPER DUPER VODKA Cons: DO NOT MIX WITH WHOLE MILK
About 5 years ago, my friends and i started the HBT Society. All we did was drink highballs every Thursday. After countless vodkas we used, Tanqueray was the best. To this day Tanqueray is the Society's choice. In my opinion the only better vodka is Belvedere, but then again who wants to pay 52.99 per 1.75L when you can get a handle of Sterling for 24.99 (during weekdays) corner of Archer and Knox Chicago, IL 60632. In conclusion, I like drinking , cause drinking makes me happy!
