Pros: Very compact, easy to use, price! Cons: no bilingual instructions
I actually purchased this for a radio for my office desk rather than an alarm clock, it's compact design is perfect for small spaces with it being only 5 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide! From the get go this alarm clock/radio was easy to understand, ...

Pros: Tells the correct time.
Cons: Poor radio
Bad sound
15 sec loop of static is a 'nature sound'
I received this as a birthday present from my wife, which is largely why it hasn't hit the trash bin earlier. I'll cover the positives right now.. the display dims fairly nicely. It also has a 'Monday to Friday' alarm setting, which is great so long as ...

A disappointment
by asparks ,Mar 04 '08
Pros: Vertical orientation takes up less room on my night stand. Cons: Buttons awkward to push. Loud beep when setting. Malfunctioned within a year.
There are two irritating design flaws with this clock.
After setting the alarm, the clock confirms the process by making a loud beep. This makes it impossible to set my alarm without waking my husband when I get into bed at night after him and need to reset the alarm. This wouldn't be a problem for someone who never changes their alarm although I still find the loud beep irritating and unnecessary.
Second, the buttons on the front of the clock are hard enough to push that I need to hold the back of the clock if I want to press a button or else it will fall off the nightstand. Setting an alarm shouldn't be a two-handed awkward process.
And if these reasons aren't enough to discourage you, the radio alarm function recently quick working. I've owned this clock for less than a year.

Time to return this Timex
by azclimber ,Jan 06 '06
Pros: It works as a clock Cons: The nature sounds are completely unnatural
I bought this clock because I wanted the nature sounds. I have yet to figure out how to get to the sound I want without the instructions. I find it very difficult to use. The ocean surf would be a great sound, but there is an annoying shrieking gull that interrupts frequently. The summer wind is my preference, but it has a gap where the seam is in the sound recording. I was hoping it would play continuously, but that gap is too noticeable. I plan to return this clock and am very disappointed.

Very Satisfied with the Timex
by and2802 ,Jul 03 '05
Pros: Presets are great, nature sounds are nice, takes minimum space. Cons: I guess the alarm could be easier to set
The presets were the most important feature for me. Also works fine as alarm. Very easy to use the timed shutoff feature - just press the on button two or more times. Planing to buy another one for another room.

Cute little thing w/ great sound
by lydia71 ,Oct 20 '04
Pros: none Cons: wish it had a regular antenna instead of a long cord
I won this at work and was a little dissapointed because I wanted to win something else but it fit right in with my RCA surround sound rear speakers. It's funny because it matches and the size is nearly the same. Easy to set up and you can preset the radio stations. Honestly, this would be a great gift.
