Know Surprises

by cyclegeek , Aug 04 '04
Pros: Great functionality, it's a handheld computer, bright screen
Cons: Not plug and play - be prepared to invest some time with this device.
The Thera 2032 engenders a wide variety of opinions. Bad experiences show thru a lot easier than good but here are a few middle of the road thoughts. First off, as of this writing (August 2004) the Thera is at least two years old. They can be bought ...

Too Many Usability Problems

by wcaswell , May 24 '04
Pros: Wireless email, although limited
Cons: too many to list
LOUSY PHONE – You can’t make or receive calls with one hand, and it’s incredibly dangerous to use the 2032 in a car. Even to answer a call requires two hands. RING VOLUME & TONES – The ring is too quiet and, with no ring tones, you must have the 2032 ...

Toshiba 2032SP/Audiovox Thera 2032 - Looks Smart... Acts Smart Too

by soupcraze Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Apr 11 '04
Pros: Pocket PC, Clean-cut, Performance generally good
Cons: Outdated OS, Size, BATTERY LIFE
The Toshiba 2032SP and Audiovox Thera 2032 are both identical phones. The Toshiba is used on the Sprint PCS Vision network, while the Audiovox is used on Verizon's network. One thing that the 2032 device has in common is that it's a Pocket PC that has a ...

Steer clear of this one, unless you like headaches!

by derek55 , Mar 07 '04
Pros: Sprint PCS service and support
Cons: Too many too list
I was very disappointed to see that Sprint even sells such a poor product. There are a lot of good ideas on this device, however not one of them is implemented properly. Take for instance the hand writing recognition. It is probably only about 50% ...

by maxiegarner ,Apr 12 '06

Toshiba pocket pC 2032sp
by afgalli ,Nov 30 '04
Pros: None.
Cons: See review body.
The worst PDA or phone one can buy. Speaker phone is for all practical purposes unusable. No Bluetooth compatible, forces one to use an earphone and a cable. DO NOT BUT THIS PRODUCT.

Wait for something better to come along.
by darrienj ,Jul 15 '04
Pros: Cradle charges and syncs with base machine. Sync is seamless.
Cons: Battery life, reception, talktime, quality, and phone/data integration.
After have owned this phone for over almost a year, the phone has proved to be a blessing and curse. Crippled by horrible battery life, low talk time, and lack of versatility; this phone's only saving grace is its ability to pull information from Outlook and Money 2004. The ability to have this information in a one-stop shop is a boon that is not fully realized with this model. The phone/data integration is lacking in this model. It is sad because Sprint does not offer anything the goes more toward the Smartphone realm at this moment. I would advise the consumer to avoid this product unless they really need a Windows PDA/Phone option from Sprint that is affordable.

Not Ready Yet
by cnviking ,Dec 03 '03
Pros: Synchronizes well
Cons: Bad phone quality, minimal service area
I purchased my Toshiba 2032SP right after Sprint started selling the units. The PDA itself is not bad, though it not as "feature rich" as other PDA's. The SD works fine as does the USB interface.

My major complaint was always with the Sprint service (or lack thereof)and the general quality of the phone. I had very spotty connectivity, and the reception quality was poor at best.

I could always hear okay (though the sound was very 'tinny', but everyone had a hard time hearing me. I tried several different microphone/earphone accessories, and it just did not clear up.

I finally gave up and cancelled my Sprint account, and use it just as a PDA now. Will probably give this one to my son, and get a PDA with more features in the near future.
