Pros: surround sound, v-chip, unbeatable picture, flat screen, silver color, 3 types video-input, too-many-to-list Cons: all flat screens are front-heavy, surround-sound so real-makes you look behind you a lot-at first
I have spent the better part of my life without a television. I have spent close to twenty years hating televisions. Therefore I refused to have one in the house. This fact left many people horrified- WHAT ON EARTH DO YOU DO WITHOUT A TELEVISION! was...
Pros: Sharp picture, great sound, Cons: no selectable enhanced mode.
Ahh.... the elusive Flat Screen TV. No longer when sitting at the side of the TV do I have to ask my TV watching pal, "Hey, what happened on that side of the screen? Did he get shot or what?" No longer will I have to put pillows in
the windows to...
Pros: Beautiful design, beautiful picture, picture geometry is right on! Cheaper than a Sony. Cons: Wish it had 16:9 enhanced mode. Otherwise, no complaints.
I recently went shopping for a high-end mid-sized TV that would take advantage of my DVD player without breaking the bank. I looked at and researched many TVs and ended up buying the Toshiba 27AF41. Here are my impressions and advice:
Pros: This unit has superior quality construction, sound, and picture quality. Cons: The lack of 16:9 enhanced mode is the only major disadvantage of this unit.
This unit has superior quality construction, sound, and picture quality. It also sports a very attractive styling.
The lack of 16:9 enhanced mode is the only major disadvantage of this unit. Although I’m not sure how important that is on a...
Pros: Awesome color and clarity. 2 S-video inputs, component. Sound is amazing for built-in speakers. Cons: Geometry issues.
I purchased this TV from Best Buy in Florida. I was looking for a 27 inch TV specifically for my bedroom. Compared to other models on the floor, the 27AF41 stood out as far as color and clarity.
Pros: Great picture and plenty of inputs Cons: Built-in speakers underpowered
Picture
The picture on the Toshiba flat screen TVs looked better to me than the Panasonic Tau or Sony Wega. The scan lines (horizontal bands making up the picture) were far less visible on the Toshiba than the other brands....
Pros: Excellent picture, Lots of input options, Attractive cabinet. Cons: Standard speakers could be a bit more beefy.
When purchasing a new TV and keeping value in mind ; we thought "should we go for a larger screen at a so-so quality or put the same money into a high quality smaller screen [27inch]?". We decided on the latter...and in this model we think we found a...

This is an awesome TV. The picture and color quality is really nice. There is also a very small to no amount of glare on the screen. I found it really easy to set up, install and use and it only took about 15 mins. All of the equipment that I already...
Pros: don't know since it stopped working on the 2nd day Cons: The picture tube got broken right away, took 5 months to get a replacement.
The picture tube got broken after 2 days.

Pros: Very good picture, inexpensive compared to the wega. Cons: Slight distortion in the bottom left and right corners
My search for televisions was quickly narrowed down to the Sony Wega and the Toshiba. Both have a bright picture, but the Toshiba seemed to have better picture resolution than the Sony and was significantly less expensive.
27 inch picture tube seems... by bobsee60_dt3000 ,Jul 29 '02
27 inch picture tube seems larger than other conventional TVs due to silver finished housing unit. Picture is very sharp without distortion as reported in other reviews. Flat screen improves viewing in brightly lighted areas. Access port for camcorder is very convenient in front of TV. Lacks outlet for a headphone set which would be desirable for use of the TV without disturbing others.
