Pros: A combination of multimedia wonders make this the dream entertainment laptop of 2005. Cons: Pricey, heavy, and it asks a lot of other things from from you.
I dont normally fall in love at first sight, but I had to make an exception for the Toshiba Qosmio laptop computer. Some beautiful, intelligent, and cleverly designed things in life just blow you away. The creation and marketing of laptop ...
Pros: Screen size/performance. Storage capacity/CPU speed. Bells and whistles galore. Cons: ***BAD SYSTEM BOARD*** Price, weight, battery life, TV tuner quality
***The following review should be taken with this new info in mind!*** The Qosmio laptop has a serious flaw in the system board that has led Toshiba to extend the warranty an extra year, so far. That would be nice except that no one at Toshiba tells ...
Pros: Picture is amazing. Media Center (basically a Tivo with no fee) is awesome. Cons: Bad video boards or cards. Customer support is horrible.
I bought one of these back when they were $3000 (I guess I have sucker written on my forehead). It lasted 6 months and it had the video card burn out on it. Customer service was appalling, the customer rep actually hung up on me. She says "it may take up ...
I wish I would know at a time of buying this laptop what I know now. To make my story really quick, Toshiba fails to repair this $3200 laptop. We have it for little over 1.5 year; it was used only for about 6 months. It is in repairs and being repaired ...
Pros: Fantastic screen
Multimedia Capabilities
Full desktop replacement
Stylish Cons: Weight;Battery life; Motherboard Problem = lemon; Toshiba Customer support = NIGHTMARE GARDE FFF
After doing extensive research prior to the purchase of a new laptop, I decided on a Toshiba Quosmio G15 in June. Initially I was really happy with the quality of the screen (big plus) and all multimedia capabilities. After not quite 5 months of medium ...
Pros: Works great when it works. Cons: 2 hard drive failures, 3 system board replacements and no honoring of expensive extended warranty.
I purchased a g15 with an extended *onsite* warranty, which Toshiba will no longer honor. I have to send it in for 'system board replacement' before they will honor any more repairs. As a soft. engineer I take care of my machine, but I'm on my 4th repair, two mother/system boards later (all replaced onsite) and Toshiba has aknowledge there is a serious flaw but requiring I send it in for yet another system board this time. That $339 extended warranty *onsite* I paid for is anything but *onsite* now. Essentially I paid $200 more for the standard *send-it-in* warranty. What gives? Better Business Bu. has had over 600 complaints and Toshiba is no longer responding, or caring apparently. STAY AWAY!!!
