Amazing laptop
by sbcaron ,May 04 '06
Pros: Reliable, silent, battery life, amazing screen, fully loaded. Cons: Thick, a bit heavy, touchpad hard to use, video card not for games.
I was a laptop reseller before, i've seen more than 100 different laptop and this is the one I prefered. Battery life is amazing - around 6h WITH wifi, screen is really top notch especially with the automatic brightness controllà. Overall it is just a very good laptop. I'm not a toshiba fan, i've seen alot of problems with the tecra 9000-9100 series, the satellite 6100 really sucks but the M1 is extremely reliable. On the downside, the laptop is not what I call thin and light. They could have made it sexy like IBM t40 serie but with the high capacity battery it would have been very difficult. My other complaint is about the touchpad surface which is not confortable to use. Specification are the following : centrino 1.4 - 1gig ram - 100gig 7200rpm hitachi 7k100 - cdrw/dvd - wifi 802.11b - trident 32megs vid card - 3 usb port - firewire - sd card slot.
