I bought it coz there was a good mail-in rebate. But they ditched me by saying there have sent it and they cant resend it. But I am sure this is a scam. I check my mails regularly and there is no way I can miss their cheque.Keep away from Trendware for such offers.

I sent my rebate to them (with the UPC in the same envelope as the form of course), and they sent me a letter about 8 weeks later saying my submission was missing the UPC. If anyone still wants to go ahead with the rebate, be sure to make a copy of the UPC before mailing the original to them!

The router gives average signal strength, but drops connections every now and then even if the computer is a mere 10 feet away. This happens on multiple machines.

I bought two TrendNet routers during different seasons. Both were having a mailing rebate of approx $20. However, TrendNet mentioned that the UPC bar codes were missing and hence they couldnt send me a rebate. I know for sure, I did send them the rebates. I can understand if it happens once, but if it happened twice - then I am sure this is a scam!

What can I say; you win some you lose some. That one is definitely in the loss column. Router requires 3(!) firmware updates to be downloaded to function; and it is just coming from a store. This updates also have to be taken one by one without an option to install 1 that includes all of them.
If you are thinking about getting some of your money back with mail-in rebate - forget about it.The Trendware rebate program looks like a scam. After mailing rebate and waiting for 6 weeks I contacted their customer service department that is running this program and was given different (!)mailing address and 2 fax numbers to resubmit: one in Canada and one in US. Used fax, waited for another 2 weeks, called in and been told they don't even have fax numbers(!) for the program. So apparently the first reply was just a joke. To me this company looks like a joke.
As for the router itself it's an average quality; periodically drops connection but unfortunately can't return it anymore. It's clear to me, that's the last product that I bought from Trendware
