Pros: Excellent sound quality, great speaker phone and all around well engineered. Cons: Buttons on the number pad are on the small side.
We have been using the Uniden 2.4Ghz Expandable phone system for 9 months now. We have found them to be excellent quality phones with very clear sound quality. I had owned another Uniden phone system prior to this and had no problems with it in 6 years ...
Pros: Cheap, good working, good looking, good battery life, ultra-resistant! Cons: Plastic gets scratched easily (but never destroyed), some functions are uneasy to use.
This cordless phone system uses a technology that is often seen in expendable systems : the biggest base (which I refer to as the ''master base'') is plugged in a wall phone jack (and in an electricity source), and all the phones of the system get their ...
Pros: Great range, speakerphone, intercom, voicemail button, Call Waiting CallerID, long battery life, custom ringtones Cons: Four handset maximum (on this set), no "vintage telephone" ringtone
We purchased this system from Target (about $70) to replace the mishmash of telephones in our house. We liked that we could use the intercom, monitor the children in another room, update the address book from one handset to another, and use the ...
I absolutely LOVE this phone! I bought 4 of them! Let's go through what they did right! Built-in speaker phone in the handset. No pull-out antenna. Rubberized keys. Steel talk button (most used button of them all!) Volume control (I like my ...
Pros: lightweight, diff colored buttons by function, great sound, long battery life, caller id Cons: plastic - don't drop 'em alot
I have to agree with the reviews that this is a great little phone. And it's getting hard to find now I believe. I saw about 200 of them today at my local Fry's Electronics - they are pricing the 4 handset package at $79 - that's such a good deal, I ...
Pros: Well designed, easy to use, feature rich & boosted clarity. Price point can't be beat. Cons: There is nothing negative about this phone.
I work from home, My PC and phone are in use 12-15 hours a day. I have been using a VoIP service for my phone.(see this link to read about VoIP) http://computer.howstuffworks.

VoIP service can be great if you have the right phone ...
Pros: many features, different rings, room monitor, phone book, phones independent of each other Cons: room monitor - rings in the room you check on, battery life short
We have always had problems with our cordless phones. When we started looking for a new set of phones we were real skeptical of all the ones we saw. They always seemed to have many features we didn't need, or they were too big or too small. Then we ...
Pros: Small, compact with unobtrusive base; phone has lots of neat features Cons: 2.4 Ghz may make it incompatible with other electric appliances and cause poor reception
I love this phone, it is small and unobtrusive, easy to set up, and has a ton of great features. I love it until I have to talk into it. Then it pops and crackles and pings and tings in my ear. Callers on the other end of the phone constantly tell me ...
Pros: caller id call waiting id buttons light up Cons: I can hear the caller but they can't hear me
This is the second set of this product I have had in one year. The first set was returned because I could hear people but they couldn't hear me (a lot of good that does me) I exchanged the set for the exact same thing and within a few months BOTH of my handsets are doing the exact same thing. I can hear but no one can hear me. I have had terrible luck with this product not once but TWICE!!! The speaker quality cuts in and out and isn't that great when trying to listen to a conference call on speaker it fades in and out and I can barely hear. I always end up having to take it off speaker just to hear the call clearly
Pros: Small, speaker phone on handset, good sound quality Cons: Phone book, muting, and other features are not user friendly
I received these phones free from my VoIP (Sunrocket) provider about a year ago and they have been solid. I have also experienced some of the previously mentioned problems such as microwave interference, muting is a two button operation, and some others but I find that they are fairly minor. If you are close to a operating microwave then the phone will encounter interference but if you move about 10 feet away from the microwave the problem is solved.
One other annoyance is the phone book capacity and incoming caller ID logging share the same 100 memory pool. Example, if you have 60 names in your phone book then you can only store up to 40 names in your caller ID log.
I like these phones so much that I am thinking about expanding and get two more handsets to add on to the base unit.
Pros: Excellent battery life. Good Range. Good features. Cool rings Cons: Phone is small, a cheap headset can fix discomfort though
The Phone is very easy to use, very comfortable, and very versatile. The memory on the phone is adequate, I believe it holds 100 numbers (either on caller ID or your phone book). The battery life is absolutely fantastic. I have managed nearly 8 hours of talk time AFTER 4 hours of standby. The longest lasting phone I have ever had. Comes with a few rings that you can preset to phone numbers, which is a cool thing. It has speed dial. Also, of course Caller ID. The range is very good, I live on a fairly large property and I can reach the borders of it. Maybe 75 yards from the base with the feature I am about to explain. the feature is called "Clarity Boost".. If you get too far away from the phone, you can set it to burn the battery a little more in exchange for added range/clarity. An absolutely fantastic feature if you are in a wireless jungle (lots of interference) or if you plan on going a distance. Overall a fantastic phone for anyone.
a good sounding cordless system for a good price by Fritz57 ,Apr 27 '05
Pros: sound quality, quality build Cons: some features are poorly implemented
These are very small phones indeed. But they do sound good (and a bit too loud for me) and work great. They have headset capability as well as a "phonebook" that stores 100 entries, 10 speed dials, 20 or so "distinctive" ringtones, intercom function, and speakerfone.
The keys are very small, smaller then my cell phone, which is an older Kyo.
The procedure for adding a number to the phonebook isn't as quick or intelligent as my cell.
You can't dial from the phonebook using the speakerphone.
The phonebook only stores 20 characters per entry, no pause key. So to check your cell messages you need 2 locations or enter your password info by hand.
It has a Mute mode and some other features that are that a pain to use.
It amazes me that at this stage of phone and cell technology, that both types of device's features aren't better implemented.
Best Cordless Phone I've ever owned by john-navy-vab ,Feb 17 '06
Pros: Features, Range, Battery life, sound quality. Cons: Small handsets (I have a huge head), but, other than that--no cons.
Best features, best quality. Very impressed. I have had very bad luck over my lifetime with cordless phones...and, I finally did it right. Everything works as advertised, and the features are endless. Got a great price at Target ($62.00).
Hands down the best phone for the money. by okflutist ,Jan 31 '06
Pros: Caller ID, multiple ring tones, speaker phone, phone book, adjustable volume, excellent sound quality. Cons: For multi-taskers, it's a bit too small to hold between shoulder and chin.
I read reviews of this little twin set of phones before purchasing, but I never expected it to live up to the accolades. I was WRONG. This is a great little phone system. The price has dropped since I bought these a year ago. I paid $59 at WalMart, and it is worth more than all my previous cordless phones combined. No static. No cutting in and out. No voice distortion. Only one of the phones of this pair must be plugged into the phone jack, so the other one can be placed anywhere in your home where there is an electrical outlet available. You can also add handsets if you want.
Great Cordless Phone w/ Answering System by christe ,Sep 01 '05
Pros: Too many great things, love the speaker, intercom ect... Cons: Static when our microwave is running.
I bought this set and another set (DCT6482) from Walmart Nov '04. Paid $69.88 so they have went down considerably in price. These Uniden phones are well worth the money. Been working excellent for us. 2.4 digital does the job just fine for my 3000+ sq ft home on 100 acres, need nothing more. We take it all over, outside everywhere.
