Pros: Lightweight, attractive, great sound clarity, lots of helpful features, expandable, Distinctive Ringtones! Cons: Nope, I just can't find any!
Waiting for a package to arrive is crazy making, but it is also a lot of fun. When I knew that I had a gift sent to me, I could hardly contain myself. Every time I heard a truck go by I would be looking out the window. The mailman wasnt safe on ...
Pros: Sounds as if my family in England, are in the same room as me. Cons: The cost of caller I.D. to use the cute functions on these phones.
I was really delighted to receive the Uniden Multi handset X10 cordless telephones, as a gift. It came by Fed Ex and I just had to see what was inside the package. It consisted of, 2 handsets, a base unit, a charger, 2 AC adapters, 2 ...
Pros: Perfect if you are short on phone jacks or want to go Broadband. Tons of features. Cons: No real ones - these phones are REALLY cool!
My husband has been looking into going to a Broadband/Internet phone provider (such as Vonage) for a little while now, but for some reason had been hesitant to make the transition. Epinions decided to give us a shove in the right direction when they ...
Pros: Expandable without using additional phone jacks, clarity, ease of use. Cons: Range around appliances, needs more notice for low battery.
New phones! Did I really need them? No, but I wasn't totally happy with my beloved Mickey Mouse cordless. Cute as can be, but not very practical. It was far too easy to accidentally hang up when my daughter tried to talk on it or when I tried ...
Pros: features and quality are excellent. Cons: Cons are not many and not big - see the details.
I bought this phone set about a week ago after suffering from a couple of VTech phones for too long. The Uniden TRU8860 met almost all my expectations, all the important ones anyway. The phone comes in a variety of sets, either by itself (TRU8860) or in ...
Pros: Sturdy, Loads of Features, Simplicity Cons: Flashing light
Ordered these during a Woot! and so far I am really glad I did. They are refurbs, so I had some hesitation, but for the price I thought I'd give it a try. The two phones came in the same box with all of the pieces except for the belt clips (probably a ...
Pros: Sound quality rocks! Phonelist button! Longevity (5+ years) Voicemail inidcator LED!!! Cons: None that I can fault the phone itself for.
After something like 5 years of use my relaible Uniden finally started having battery issues. The talk time was down to only 45 minutes. I need better range in my tough environment. So I did not chose to buy new batteries. You can read my other ...
Pros: Price, Style, Ease of use, Clarity, and pretty good travel distance Cons: None yet
After owning many a cordless phone I am most impressed with this one. I picked it up last week in a 3 handset pack, same model numbers, just an extra handset. My biggest concerns in a cordless phone are Clarity and Reception. This phone scores high ...
I received this phone as a gift and I would recommend it to anyone. The best feature of the phone is the speakerphone. At the touch of a button, you can have a mobile speakerphone at the tips of your fingers. I often set the phone down while performing ...
Pros: Smart design, bright display, smaller more comfortable handset Cons: base station maybe a bit too small (too light), no customizable ringers for base station
I purchased this phone for my home office. I also use it with the Vonage service. It has just about every feature you will need and is nicely designed. The handsets are tight and don't "squeak". They also don't have that knobby little antenna sticking ...
I have tried other brands and always go back to Uniden. This phone is perfect. Perfect clarity, no antenna, 2 full featured handsets, etc. Very good buy. Oh...and don't forget to attach the belt clip. It helps when shouldering the phone! Cool.
I bought this thing based on its sleek style. Big mistake. Sound quality is fine, but it has no range. I couldn't even walk to the other side of the house without reception breaking up. I ended up with a 2.4 ghz Panasonic for half the money (TG2420), and the range is far better.
Pros: Small footprint, sound quality, intercom and baby monitor features Cons: Small buttons
I was shopping for new cordless phones for both my house and my office and needed a 5.8 Ghz phone because of my wireless router. I toyed with the idea of getting a 2 line phone, but because of the reviews and the price did not go there. I found this beauty at the local Costco for $69 and it include 2 phones. I love the handset speakerphone. Most people do not even know that I am on it. Its been about 3 weeks since I've bought it and I would definitely have to recommend it. I am thinking of getting another one for work because of the low price and swapping the extra handset with my other system. The only con is the small buttons which can be a pain if you do a lot of dialing. Also the speed dial doesn't seem to store that any digits.
Other that that I would have no hesitation recommending it.
I got the 8860-2 for 69.99 at Costco by kendolin ,Jun 06 '05
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to setup and use, great clarity, good range. Cons: None so far.
That's right, both handsets already configured to the base unit for less than the price of one handset!!!
I use it for my Vonage VOIP service. The clarity is amazing, better than my old 2.4 Ghz Siemens. I took out all the 2.4 Ghz stuff so as to not conflict with my wireless G network. I am also very happy with the range, I have 2/3 acre and have excellent coverage all around my yard and even into my neighbors house.
My wife may even buy a set for her line - I hope there is no noise problems or conflicts with running two of these systems.
Buy 10 handsets - you can use 2 !!! by degraaf ,Jan 06 '06
Pros: Apart from this unexpected defect, these phones are excellent. Cons: Uniden needs some serious rewording of the multi-set capability, and to learn some advertising ethics.
The Features list (p. 2) says "10 Multi-Handset Expandability". The box says "the convenience of up to 10 handsets and charging cradles, all working in parallel with one base unit and only one phone jack". Buried on page 52 we are told "The phone permits 3-way conversations between 2 handsets and an outside line".
Imagine my surprise when during a call we tried to pick up the second, third, fourth and fifth handsets and only the second one connected - all the others say "System busy - please try later". Apparently you can buy multiple handsets, but you can only use two.
