Pros: Small, convenient, inexpensive, surprisingly good performance Cons: Mediocre software
Have you ever taken a trip or gone somewhere and really wished you had left the expensive digital camera home? You find that the sky opens up and it is raining like crazy. Or your hands will just be too full to carry a camera. Or perhaps you suddenly ...
Pros: Tiny, Cheap, decent picture quality, uses SD Cards, takes movies. Cons: Must use SD Card for Mac support, viewfinder isn't accurate, can't set time/date.
I bought this as a "beater" camera - just something to have around and handy. I'm a Mac user - so right away I had to add a SD Card in order to use this camera (the camera doesn't come with Mac support for the onboard memory). The controls are ...
Pros: size, price, images fine, 'crowd appeal' Cons: lacks instant-view, point & shoot, short range only
This camera is not to be confused with the high quality, multi-function digital cameras available for just a bit more money. But you knew that, its not part of the pitch with a mini-camera. So what is it like? It takes good photos. 1Megapixel is ...
Sold as Windows XP compatible, but isn't by drwende ,Mar 26 '05
Pros: Good photo quality, easy to use. Cons: Sold as compatible with Windows XP when maker knows it isn't.
It's a cute camera that totes along easily and takes photos nicely, as I know from the one download session that worked. The problem? It's sold as compatible with Windows XP, but buried deep in Veo's Web site is the news that downloading photos can crash Windows XP. It does. Their workaround is to use an SD memory card -- a purchase that more than doubles the cost of this camera.
This was a bargain that ended up costing a lot. Camera: $69. SD memory card to make camera work properly: $70. Vacation photos lost due to being unable to download them: Priceless. Five hours of troubleshooting before locating the real problem: Unmentionable.
My advice: Buy a camera from a company that is strictly truthful about compatibility.
Nice Little Camera but NO product support. by deohen ,Apr 15 '04
Pros: Clear, precise pix. Mpeg short but very nice. One AAA battery lasts long time.
Cons: Too delicate for a keychain. Needs a small case to protect.
Customer support non-existant.
We loved the pix and mpeg's and ease of using this tiny camera. But you will realize immediately that you will not want to nor be able to carry this camera on your keychain, as they advertise. It's way too delicate and really needs a small case to protect the plastic and the delicate parts as well. We got some very cool pix and mpeg's at concerts with just the spotlight on the performers. We were close though, as there is no zoom. The mpeg's are short, but very nice in quality. Nice outdoor pix too, but light indoors will be a problem. We just wish there was product support and that they would have helped us when we could not get the pix from the camera. No one responded to emails, calls and 2 letters. It blue screened every time. But we purchased and installed an SD memory chip and it worked fine then. We cannot recommend this camera due to the poor, non-existant product suport. Though it is a nice camera otherwise.
