I hooked this camera up to my Westell 327w. Not too difficult, it worked ok for a day. Then the camera seemed to lock up, so as per the support page on the Veo website, I sent the most recent update to it. It won't do anything now, won't turn on or off, just locked up. I've emailed support via they joke of a web page for submitting issues, got no response the one time it actually submitted properly. But they did remove the page that suggests sending an update to the camera when experiencing problems, as of 5-25-06 it's a blank page. So I tried calling them, I get the number is out of service. If you buy this camera, expect to take a gamble, cause if it breaks after the first day of use, you're out of luck, and money. You've been warned.

I purchased the Veo web cam in Feb. 2004. Within 6 months the head would fall forward and not go back up. It was still under warrantee and they sent me a RMA #. I mailed my camera to them in January and as of yet they still will not return calls or emails. It is April 1st. I feel as if I have lost the camera and all contact with Veo. I plan on filing a report with the BBB if they do not contact me very soon.

The network camera is a great concept, but unfortunately Veo hasn't worked out the bugs. Setup is easy enough - plug the camera in, load the software, and change some settings on your router. UNFORTUNATELY, with all this, the camera is inaccessible from outside the LAN. Repeated efforts to fix the problem (by checking their "knowledgebase" - which is only a list of 20 simple FAQs) and emailing their support (which takes days, if not a week for a response, and I think is outsourced to a company that doesn't know the product!). A prime example of the HORRIBLE support was that the solution given was in direct opposition to what was listed on their web site. VERY DISAPPOINTED with this camera - do NOT buy it - does not live up to ANY of the claims on their site.

The camera was a snap to set up and view - some network understanding is required. Audio and video works great and the pan and tilt is very cool.

Product has potential if Veo can solve the access issue when using Linksys gateway routers. The product also seems to freeze up constantly, especialy when it is not being used. This requires power-cycling the equipment which defeats the purpose of remote management. Veo support is also an issue, since email is the only method of suport, don't hold your breath waiting for a solution. I worked with the support fo 20 days before I received a call from a live body and was still unable to get the acces issue though the internet resolved.
