NOT GOOD IN LOW LIGHT, REASONABLE IN DAYLIGHT

by yellowshock , Jun 12 '03
Pros: Good picture in daylight conditions Solid housing and good focus ring
Cons: BAD picture quality in LOW light. F1.6 lens does not help. Poor FPS
Safe your money on this one as the USB 2.0 and megapixel CMOS are downright disappointing. Also the ...

Slow
by embarqer ,Apr 09 '07
Pros: Terribly slow frame rate
Cons: LED indicator to show camera in use
The frame rate of the Veo Velocity is perhaps 2-4 fps maximum, whether used with the Veo software or with NetMeeting, so apparently either the driver or the hardware is very much sub-par. You can do much better with a cheap Logitech or Microsoft camera.

Waste of money
by ainfant ,Jan 22 '04
Pros: Nice software package, good looks
Cons: Very grainy picture, problems with video recording, and poor performance in indoor lighting.
Don't waste your money on this cam. I was misled by the advertising of 1.3 megapixel clarity and good performance in low light. Boy, was I surprised. My Logitech $35 camera is 10x better than this. I returned it the day after I bought it.

veo velocity webcam
by nickymetro ,Dec 26 '03
Pros: nice blue light on camera.
Cons: only good if you use it outside on a very sunny day!
bought this cam thinking it was the wave of the future, boy was i wrong.i got a 2.0 card for my pc just to work with this camera,i am now using a 3com home connect which works unbelieveable in low light, at night you only need the light from the monitor, thats it! i also have a cheap creative vibra web cam that works better than this piece of junk,at night you need a floodlight in your face to get a good picture, pass this one up and get any ccd image camera and it will work better.

I bought this cam at Best Buy for 50 dollars and it works great. I took back the Webcam express I got earlier and I was quite impressed with veo's quality and price. I would recommend to anyone.

I purchased this camera for...
by road_house_dt3000 ,Feb 13 '03
I purchased this camera for myself and was astounded by the quality and the overall performance...way better that any other camera I have tried. However when I suggested it to my friend he brought his computer to a screaching hault when he used it with a 2.0 adapter card...poor frame rates, low light conditions were bad, etc. In short...great cam for true USB 2.0 users, bad for anything else.
