Pros: Stylish, even cooking, easy clean-up, temperature control Cons: a bit heavy
Granted, there area dozen different kinds of indoor grills and panini sandwich makers out there. I chose this one because if its style and function. My husband loves to make Cuban sandwiches from scratch. In fact that is the ONLY thing I can get him to ...
Pros: Makes great sandwiches. Infinite varieties. Cons: Large, heavy and cumbersome. Only makes paninis.
One of the challenges I enjoy in the kitchen is creating meals that replicate the offerings at a fine restaurant, bakery or deli. Not surprisingly, I often have to procure some sort of specialized contraption to achieve this goal. ...
Pros: Very good grilling surfaces; and flexible joint, allowing larger sandwiches; beautiful on your granite countertop Cons: difficult clean-up as grills don't detach; no on-off switch.
Why a countertop grill? Do you love the grilled taste of barbeque, but often don't have the time to fire up the outside grill -- or even the inclination to use it in the dead of Winter? Do you enjoy panini sandwiches done perfectly, with the ...
I have been wanting a panini maker ever since my workplace started offering them for lunch. This Christmas I got my wish and receieved one from my in-laws. I have used it about half a dozen times so far and each time has turned out delicious. A Panini ...
Pros: Even cooking on both sides. Excellent Browning. Good temperature control. Heavy Metal Quality. Cons: No ON/OFF switch. NO timer.
I was a big George Forman fan, but after the non-stick surface eventually peeled off, I decided to see if there was another brand on the market with similar purpose. First the negative, there is NO ON / OFF switch. I guess this isn't the worst because ...
Pros: Fast heating Cons: Lost Heat fast, Poor Construction, Splatters, Pain to clean, Does not last long,
Well we have bought this grill last year as a house warming gift. We loved the fact that we could grill inside our house without the need of a real Propane BBQ on our balcony. Well we tried to cook several different items with it and I would have to ...
Pros: It does what it was designed to do....Panini's. (it's right in the name) Cons: Doesn't cook fatty American hunks of meat that should be grilled outdoors.
I get a kick out of the pigsty review. How ignorant some people are. If your intention is to cook a steak on this PANINI PRESS, then you should get something else. This appliance was designed as a Panini press. The George Forman grill was designed for a ...
It does more than cook sandwiches by bugster2 ,Apr 18 '04
Pros: It makes great, evenly browned sandwiches. Cons: The teeth on the cleaning comb are too short.
It makes great sandwiches. The bread is nicely browned and the sandwich is completely heated through and the cheese is melted. The surface is non-stick, and both top and bottom heat. It comes with a comb to clean the channels and has a grease run-off with tray. It cooks hamburgers twice as fast as stove-top and grease splatter is minimal. My stove is a mess after I fry burgers so this is a plus.
What I really like is that hamburgers don't shrink up into a small fat patty.I like mine flat and thin. When I cleaned the unit after a burger, I poured some water on the grid, closed the lid and let it steam clean. Be sure and use the grease tray or a bowl or you will have a mess.
Pros: Good design, temperature control, attractive "professional kitchen" look styling. Cons: None
This grill is perfect for sandwiches. This grill has a temperature control and many other grills do not have one. The heavy weight of the construction is very pleasing in a time when so many appliances are made very light in weight. The grill comes with a "comb" to clean between the ribs of the cooking surface. In addition to the comb I findthat a stiff clean basting brush makes quick work of clean up. Two thumbs up. Buy this grill and you will be glad you did!
A fine piece of equipment. I was able to reproduce the same quality as if one were dining out. The unit produces a fine array of sandwiches and can grill a variety of other foods if one has the desire.
The unit comes to operating temperature quite quickly & the variety of available temperatures give the device a diverse set of abilities.
Cleanup is easy if you scrape it out the the provided tool while the unit is still warm, same as the G.F. grills.
The unit folds up nicely and looks good sitting on counter space.
I have not issues, only compliments for this unit.
