Pros: A sharp looking cordless phone with some cool features. Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
After getting hammered by Sprint and their cell phone plan, I decided to buy a regular phone for my room. I just recently purchased a cell phone and the cheapest plan from Sprint, so I could keep in touch with my family while I am stationed here in Fort ...
Pros: Awesome looking phone, many features, more than just your normal ring tones Cons: Cuts out for about a second every once in a while.
I bought the Vtech VMix Gz2434 (GZ2434) Cordless Phone last December when my other phone decided to take a permanent dive on me. I ran across this in my local Target store and it really caught my eye. First Impressions In the way of ...
Pros: Fun features including: ployphonic ringtones, faceplates, animations. Durable, comfortable. Cons: Short battery life, no base keypad, only one voice mailbox.
I have the V-Mix with answering machine base, the same handset, but with a digital answering machine. I have to say this phone is loaded down with features for the price, but it lacks a few things that would make it "killer" instead of just good. The ...
Pros: Different ring tones, nice LCD display, redial feature, different face plates eliminate boredom Cons: Nothing lasts forever.
I can't believe all the bad reviews on this phone! Our VTech VMix was like a beloved member of our family for well over five years. (As low budget cordless phones go, that's an eternity in my book.) I originally bought the phone for my daughter to use ...
Pros: Polyphonic ring tones, face plates, red backlight display. Cons: Too much teen orriented. Questionable durability. No black faceplate.
With it's polyphonic ring tones, interchangeable plastic covers, flashable antenna, and red backlight, it's not very difficult to find out who Vtech was aiming for with the phone: the teens. Alright, I'll admit it, I'm a teen. I don't really know what ...
Pros: Easy to use, loaded with features, and very cute. Cons: I guess the protruding magnifier because it gets scratched easily.
I bought this phone yesterday for college. I bought it because it is so cute! It also has tons of features. All the features are digital. It comes with four base and face covers (blue, orange, red, and yellow.) It comes with 10 or so ringtones built ...
Pros: Custom ring tones for each caller. Cons: It goes bad after 1-3 months of use.
This phone was an impulse buy because our other cordless phone was on it's last legs. We bought it for the color because we liked the orange face plate when we saw it in the store. Of course you can make the phone blue, yellow, or red as well by swappin ...
Pros: Polyphonic ring tones are amusing. Unit comes with headset, beltclip, and switchable faceplates. Cons: Very poor quality all around. 2 phones were totally un-usable.
I too purchased this phone on an impulse buy due to my GE phone beginning to fail. The first vmix I brought home and charged would not work at all. The phone would simply say "no connect" when pressing the phone button. After calling V-Tech ...
cool features but poor sound quality by ewoooda05 ,Apr 18 '07
Pros: color changing face plates, different ringtones, easy to use menu, long battery life Cons: poor reception during long calls and lots of background noise during most calls.
I bought this phone about 4 years ago. I really like the features like being able to program a different ringtone for each caller and changing the face plates. I also like the small base and that the phone rings not the base when a call comes in. The only downside to the phone is that after talking for a while it makes a white noise fuzz sound and you can no longer hear the person you are talking to although they can still hear you. It also makes a lot of popping noise while talking on it.

Pros: Colorful plates for the phone. Cons: Ring tones are dated and battery does not last.
Can you blame me for not liking this phone? It is cheap. It comes with different plates to shnazz it up, but that's the only good thing about it. I could not hear well while on it, the battery life was weak, the ring tones are dated(at least I didn't have to pay for them). I would not recommend this phone to anyone who gets irritated quickly. It's too much for too little.
Too bad it isn't reliable by lonelywind ,Dec 10 '03
Pros: Neat styling, rings load, visual ring indication, number memory. Cons: They tend to quit working. Composing ring tones is a joke.
We bought this phone because we wanted something that could store many phone numbers. Also, we liked the styling and the switchable faceplates.
However, about two weeks after getting it home, it began cutting out after about five minutes of use. It would go dead, all you could hear is static. If you were lucky, you could grab a nearby corded phone, hang up the Vtech, and you might not lose the caller. This just got worse and worse, so we took it back and got another.
The second one has yet to repeat that error, but it does have these annoying buzzes and clicks every so often. It's too bad, but from my experience, along with what else I've read, it appears to be a product full of faults. I'm surprised, as I have owned several VTech phones in the past, and have always liked them.
sounded like a fun phone, turned out to be the worst phone I ever had by aaabbbcccddd ,Jul 15 '05
Pros: Looks good, fun ring tones Cons: Cuts out, lots of static, won't shut off
After a few months the phone started having problems. My kids were always complaining about it. I rarely used it because you couldn't talk on it very long without having problems and have to switch to another phone. It would cut out and start to have static. I couldn't get it to turn off.
Pros: Rubber around handset, so when throw it on the floor, it keeps working. Cons: It would take many more that 15 words to describe how terrible this phone is.
First phone experienced LOUD clicking noise, then quit working. Replacement phone also made a LOUD clicking noise, very limited range, then quit working ( would not charge ).
Third phone has worked now for 6 months with LOUD clicking noise and limited range. It is not my only phone, and I am shopping for a new one. Would not buy any VTECH product. My childs VTECH toy sounds terrible, and I am expecting it to quit working any minute ( knock on wood ). If you buy this phone, GOOD LUCK, your are going to need it.
don't be pulled in by the cool looks by llizard ,Sep 14 '05
Pros: cool colors Cons: many reported problems
my daughter picked out this phone because of it's cool looks. it had a lot of good features, so we purchased the phone for $40.00. We charged it overnight and we immediately had problems getting it to connect. It is now boxed back up and ready to return to the store. Not a good pick if you prefer a working phone.
Absolutely horrible phone! by amazonbanshee ,Nov 24 '04
Pros: cool ring tones Cons: batteries never hold a charge, difficult to hear people
Batteries are difficult to find...and do not hold a charge
THIS PHONE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH DIGITAL PHONE SERVICE!
I recently switched to a digital phone carrier. Was having all sorts of problems with functions not working. Our cable company told us this is the only phone on the market that seems to be having problems with compatibility.
Cheaply made. Have had complaints from everyone on the other end. Difficult for them to hear me talking.
Works poorly if you are using the microwave at the same time. Will get a LOT of static and interference.
What a waste of money.
Will NEVER buy a V TECH again!!!!!!
