liked the waffle maker
by mom22gls ,Dec 19 '03
Pros: easy to use. Waffles don't stick. Consistent product with timer-beeps when ready. Cons: gets quite hot on outside
After using this type of waffle maker at a buffet, I was interested in the home model. I purchased it at a chain store, with a 20% off coupon (from the $80 price). It was very easy to use, and the waffles did not stick at all, with only one application of no-stick spray. I just used a batter from a mix, but I am sure that using a scratch batter for Belgium waffles would be really delicious. It gets quite hot, and retained the heat on the outside after being turned off, so I would be careful monitoring children using it.

Professional-Quality Results
by kkrd ,Apr 19 '05
Pros: Consistent results from a nice looking piece of equipment. Cons: price
The Waring Belgium Waffle Maker is exactly what we were looking for to serve large functions. The results are consistent every time. The machine looks professional and it cooks even with the rotate feature. We used a little cooking spray and the waffles did not stick to the surface. They released with ease. Highly recommended.

Waffles Stick -- Returning it :-(
by hornern ,Feb 15 '06
Pros: Great when it was working Cons: Waffles stick after initial use
I followed the 'seasoning' instructions exactly, and the first time I used it the waffles came right out -- perfect, very happy. However, every subsequent use the waffles have stuck int the griddle such that they split right down the middle (with the browned part stuck to the top and bottom grids) and are 'scambled waffles' by the time I pain-stakingly pry them out with a plastic fork. Given all the other reviews, I think that maybe I got one from a bad production run where the non-stick coating was not to spec. Maybe they shifted production to China and lost something in the translation.
I have tried re-seasoning it twice and putting spray Pam on it before each waffle -- no luck.

Awesome!!
by jaygorski ,Dec 10 '08
Pros: cooks fast
no dripping when using the measuring cup
makes great waffles Cons: NONE really. Takes up a little more room than a cheaper model, who cares?
After spending 4 days in a San Diego hotel and making waffles on their wonderful waffle makers, I thought Id look at Sam's Club to see if they had any on the shelves, to my wonderment there was one of these on the shelf at a nice low price of $49.95, didnt take long to scoop one off the shelf and proceed to the checkout. Once we got home I had to try it out post haste. Made the very best waffles with no dripping, and in no time at all, it took longer to mix the Krusteaz mix then it took to cook the waffles themselves, well almost. We shall see how it holds up in the long run, seems to be a fairly sturdy unit, but time will tell.

The best Waffle maker I have every tried.
by joh1135 ,Dec 21 '04
Pros: Nothing but praises Cons: None that I can think of
After using one of these waffle makers at a motel continental breakfast, my wife and I decided that we needed to get one of these. After searching the internet, I came across them at a local store last Christmas 㤋.
We have used it and used it and used it. It is just great
..
Money well spent, and always a family favorite.

Waring WMK300 Waffle Maker
by chrisandrose ,Dec 28 '03
Pros: Perfect waffles, easy to clean, easy to operate. Cons: Expensive for a kitchen gadget, but worth it.
I bought this product after seeing a demo on a T.V. shopping channel. The demonstrators of these products always make them look easy to use, clean, etc, and always get unbelievable results. I generally watch these infomercials with a jaded eye, but was impressed by the product. My husband followed the easy directions, and the waffles have consistently turned out beautifully. Clean-up has also been as described on the demo. In short, we love it. We have waffles every Sunday now as a family tradition. It is the best waffle iron I have ever used, which prompted me to write a review.

Awesome Unit - Always a hit
by lacanuck ,Dec 30 '06
Pros: Easy to use - always great waffles (use setting 4) Cons: Have to store it when not in use - No biggy really
We use it regularly and love it. We always bring it out when we have company and the result is usually the same they go home and buy one themselves. Just bugs me that they can now get them cheaper than me at Costco
My son actually broke our first one (the handle) when he dropped it. We called Waring to see if we could buy a replacement handle - We sent it back - and they sent us a complete new unit - we only payed for shipping. Great service.
Try putting fresh fruit in the waffle mix - tastes great.

Loved it while it worked
by olivebranchms ,Jun 10 '08
Pros: Nice while it worked Cons: Expensive - Did not last.
I received my Waring Pro for Christmas. It has been used, on average, twice a month. At five months, it died with no warning.

Died
by sanyamarie ,Aug 17 '07
Pros: Easy to use, makes good waffles Cons: No longer works!
I loved my waffle iron, but after only 8 months of life and probably only a dozen uses, it died. I plug it in and nothing happens ... no heat, no nothing. I am going to contact the company and see if it's covered under warranty.

My Waffles Are Always Soggy
by trmaster16 ,Jan 19 '07
Pros: None Cons: The timer beeps too early, usually after one-minute
I bought this product a month ago due to the great reviews and my love for belgian waffles, crispy ones. The timer beeps too early, usually after one-minute leaving me guessing when they are done. Waffles come off browned on 4 setting, deflate to soggy even while on cookie pan in oven at 200. Too frustrated, returning it.

Waring WMK300 Professional Belgian Waffle Maker
by lajcooks ,Jul 05 '08
Pros: Evenly browns, crispy exterior, soft interior. Cons: Durability.
Since Jan. '08 we have tried 3 of these waffle makers. After only about 20 waffles the makers all quit heating sufficiently to cook the batter. It is unfortunate as the properly cooked waffles were very tasty.
My husband insisted on trying again a third time with this product because he so liked the waffles it made. Not again! Third time and it's out.

Great Product
by nsparker ,Jun 06 '05
Pros: Great Product with same results each time. Cons: Item is priced high.
I purchased the Waring Professional Belgian Waffle Maker on June 3, 2005. I wanted to make Belgian Waffle's for Breakfast the next day. I was so impressed the Waffle Iron was very easy to use and made great waffles. This product delivers exceptional results, has a dial to control the browning level , has a beep to let you know when to turn and it's non stick (oiled irons with EVOO). The Waffles that I made were just like the ones you would purchase from a restaurant. I can't wait to have company so that I can "Show-OFF" and prepare a Gourmet Breakfast.

Excellent waffle maker, one of my favorite kitchen appliances
by jloatvt ,Sep 22 '05
Pros: makes great waffles, easy to use and to clean, extra features are useful Cons: bulky
What a great product! Very similar to what you see at restaurants and hotels. It is bulky and not easy to store. I ended up leaving mine out, which uses valuable counter space. However, there are a lot of positive features, including: 1) audible beeps when iron is preheated and when waffle is ready 2) included measuring cup to ensure the right amount of batter is used 3) adjustable browning dial 4) easy clean up 5) durable 6) drip pan included 7) easy to use 8) makes lovely waffles!

Pros: Work great Cons: Not easy to clean
I've had one for a year or so and it has been great. The only issue is that the plates can not be removed for cleaning.
