Good Waffles but crapped out early
by ocedummy ,Jun 16 '08
Pros: Easy to use and makes excellt. waffles. Cons: Shorted out, not very sturdy in the rotating hinges, will buy another brand next time.
Makes good waffles, no problem there and easy to clean. After about 8 months, less than 6 uses, shorted out and kept blowing circuit breakers, bummer.

Makes great Waffles but not durable
by rkahan ,Jan 06 '08
Pros: Makes the most consistent Waffles each and every time Cons: Durability appears to be a big problem
This product made great waffles for the 1st month. We were making them once a week when all of a sudden the unit stopped heating up properly. We tried different settings but nothing worked. Upon further review on the internet I noticed this to be a common problem.

Not so Reliable
by sshiori ,Mar 17 '09
Pros: Makes great waffle, easy of use and clean Cons: Poor Durability, takes up space for storage.
We just return the 2nd machine to Costco. 1st one broke within a month and 2nd one worked about a year and start melting plastics inside the machine. We could see the melted plastics on the bottle cover surface. It was still within warranty period, which is 2 years from the manufacturing date without receipt or one year from purchase, so they would have fixed it at their cost, yet we would have to pay for the shipping to manufacturing factory in CT. I decided to just return it to Costco with a full refund. We were using it probably 2-3 times a month, so we did get good use of it. But, for the price of the machine, I expect a better durability. We handled it very carefully every time, so I don't think we have ever abused it. It must have some sort of wireing issue. Bottom line, it is a great waffle maker if it does not break on you. I would not buy anywhere else unless you have a good return policy or warranty.

by susan5757 ,Jun 26 '09
Pros: Easy to use. Cons: Stopped heating after 15-16 months. The warranty was only 12 months. I don't recommend it.

Longevity is the problem
by sripple ,Apr 06 '08
Pros: Great corn meal waffles! Cons: Not built for a long life.
Just a quick note to reinforce other, longer reviews. The unit worked just fine for about a year and a half of waffle weekends. The plastic anchors for the hinge screws gave way at that point.
I had hoped that this rather robust looking appliance would have had a bit longer life.

WaringPro WWM200 Series
by taylorhome ,Nov 09 '08
Pros: We enjoyed it but with the expense of another not sure we can replace it. Cons: One would think they would last a lot longer than one year for home use.
We have enjoyed this unit, while it lasted. After having this wonderful waffle maker for one year, it just QUIT. We miss it.

Piece of garbage
by peareviews ,Nov 04 '08
Pros: Nothing Cons: Untrustworthy
We purchased this at a local store, came home to make waffles and on the 3rd batch the thing blew up! It made an explosion noise and scared us all to death, then the sparks started flying. It tripped the kitchen electricity and really could have hurt one of us had we been closer! The ONLY good thing is that Waring gave us a new one...an upgraded commercial one. If we have problems with it this time, I will never buy a waring product again!

Waring to the rescue
by retiredtravel ,Jun 08 '09
Pros: Makes great waffles - - works as advertised. Cons: I have nothing bad to say about this product.
My son asked me to help with my grand daughter's high school graduation party which was going to be a Sunday brunch. I was in charge of making Belgian Waffles and Omelets. I purchased the Waring Pro Belgian Waffle Maker from Sam's Club and what a good decision that was. I served about 100 waffles that morning and can only say what a delight to purchase a product that works as advertised. Put the batter in, and in just a few minutes, out comes a perfect waffle everytime. I can only say good things about it. Thanks Waring for a great product.

Good for 4 years and then problems
by steven758 ,Jan 31 '08
Pros: Easy to use. Delicious waffles. Easy to clean. Cons: Short life span. Mine lasted around four years.
Around four years ago, I received the Warning Pro Belgian Waffle Maker as a gift. I was happily surprised with the high quality waffles I was able to make. These waffles looked and tasted just like the waffles prepared at my favorite diner. It was easy to use, easy to clean and storage was not a problem. I liked that you could set it to make either light, medium or dark waffles. It gave me very good service for around 4 years. However, now it does not function properly. Instead of making golden brown waffles, when I open the waffle iron, both the upper and lower grids have the batter stuck to them. It looks as if the iron no longer heats the batter evenly throughout. I feel a bit disappointed since a product at this price point, that is not used by any means on a daily basis, should last more than four years.
